Today we headed up to Clemson.  This was Jackson's first trip there, and he came home with a new shirt!  The Van Heules bought us this beautiful frame based on the book Love You Forever. It is one of the best gifts I have ever gotten.  I love that book; it makes me cry every time I read it!  I can't wait to put a picture in it and hang it in the house.

We went to eat at Pot Belly Deli where we saw some people Tim knew from the Athletic Department, Mr. Jeff, and then Theresa and Rob came in. It was good to see Theresa; I have missed seeing her every week!  Then we went to the stadium to meet Abe.  No trip would be complete without Clemson ice cream.  Tim and I got banana pudding and apple pie.  That is the best ice cream ever!

When we got home, Tim and his dad grilled chicken for us.  It was wonderful!  It was nice to just hang out on the screen porch and enjoy being together.

One Month Old

I cannot believe that Jackson is already 1 month old!  He has changed so much and has gotten so big!

At 1 month, Jackson

• Eats 4 oz every 3 hours.
• Sleeps 3-4 hours at a time at night (He slept almost 5 last night!)
• Has outgrown most of his newborn clothes and has moved into 3 month clothes. He is actually in between sizes, but he is too long for newborn.
• Has outgrown newborn diapers and now needs to wear size 1s.
• Loves to sit in his monkey bouncy seat.
• Still loves to be held and cuddled.
• Is staying awake more and more during the day. He is so alert!
• Went to visit Daddy at work and went to the airport!
• Grandpa John, Grandma Jeanne, and Susie came to meet him!
• Does not really like riding in his car seat.  He can take about 30 minutes, and then he is done!
• Has tried sleeping in his big crib, but that only lasts for about 15-20 minutes!
• Likes to go on walks.
• Tim and I call Jackson Boo or Boog.  I also call him Little Man.
• Likes to look at lights!
• Loves to take a bath.  We are going to use his "Big Boy" bathtub later this week.
• Is a great baby!  He is not really fussy and does not cry much.  He is very laid back and just goes with the flow. ( He definitely takes after Tim and not me!)

I still can't believe he is already a month old!  That means I only have one more month to stay home with him. I don't which is more depressing!

Tim and I are so lucky to have Jackson.  He has really completed our little family, and we are so blessed.  We thank God everyday for our wonderful family!

Happy 4th of July!

This morning I attempted to make a 4th of July dessert.  We all know how that usually works out.  Everything tastes good, but doesn't always look pretty! 


 

We spent the day relaxing at home.  Jackson wore his new outfit that is just too cute on him!  We had a cookout at our house and enjoyed everyone's company.  The Ivey children came over and enjoyed sparklers and looking for fireworks.  After everyone left, Tim, Jackson, and I sat on the couch and enjoyed watching the fireworks in NYC on TV. I would love to take Jackson and Tim to New York to watch the fireworks one day.  It is truly amazing!  I think Jackson enjoyed his first 4th of July and his one month birthday!

We are also very excited that Jackson is going to have a new cousin in February.  Congratulations Laurel and Brent!  We can't wait to meet your little one!  

Jackson's Christening July 3, 2011

Jackson's Baptism was Sunday at Midway Presbyterian Church.  We wanted to make sure that Tim's family was here for the occasion. Jackson was so good at church.  He was really fussy yesterday and last night, so I was kind of worried.  He did so good though!  He was even good during the actual Baptism and didn't even cry!  I wasn't going to take a chance during the sermon, so we went to hang out with the kids.

We then headed to Larkin's in Greenville for brunch.  The food was wonderful!  We walked up to the Chocolate Moose after that.  It was miserably hot, and Jackson was sweating!

It was a wonderful day, and we are so lucky that Tim's family was here to share it with us along with my family.  It was very special that everyone could be there!

We celebrated again at home later Sunday night.  Grandma Jeanne's birthday is coming up, so we got here a cake and gift.  We also had a cake in honor of Jackson.

On Saturday, Grandpa John, Grandma Jeanne, and Aunt Susie arrived in hot South Carolina!  We are enjoying them being here, and Jackson loves to be held by them!

This post is a couple of days late, but I love this picture!  USC played Florida in the College World Series.  We are NOT Gamecock fans, but we really aren't Gator fans either. However, I had dresses Jackson in this outfit the day of the first game not even thinking.  My mom thought it would be cute to take a picture and post it to Facebook to mess with the Carolina Griswalds.  Then Tim found his Gator hat.  You have to admit that this is precious!
