Jackson is 4 months old!

My baby is getting so big! I can't believe he is 4 months old!

Jackson:

Wears size 2 diapers. They fit better now!
Wears some 3 month clothes, but mostly 6 month.
He eats anywhere from 4-5 oz every 3 hours.
He has become quite the spitter! He likes to spit up when Tim and I are leaving for work!
He is still a happy baby!
He is giggling and laughing now. Jackson smiles all of the time!
Jackson is really starting to play with his toys. He especially loves his bumble bee, Elmo, aquarium radio, keys, and his links. He can now push buttons to toys to make them play music, and he can now reach and grab for toys.
He loves to be held, but he will let you know when he is ready to stretch out. He loves to stretch out on our bed!
He is doing better sleeping through the night. For the past week, Jackson has fallen asleep around 9:30 or so. We put him in the Pack'n'Play, and he immediately wakes up, so Tim usually gets up with him. They cuddle for awhile, and then he puts Jackson back in his bed. Jackson will sleep until around 5:00 on a good night. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, we usually put him in the bed with us where he goes right back to sleep. If he sleeps until 5:00, we just get up and eat breakfast and start the day.
He stays awake longer during the day. He and Noni go on walks and play.
Jackson loves to have people talk to him. He just takes in everything people are saying!
He still loves music. We sing all the time.
He has to be in the mood to read books. He does not like to read right before bed. He likes to be good and awake. He likes these finger puppet books that I got him.
He has been going to church every Sunday. Of course, everyone loves to hold him! All of the other little kids want to hold him too.
Jackson went to his first and last PTA meeting for a long time! He does NOT like going to school with me.
He cries real tears!
He has gone tailgating at the Clemson games several times. We are taking him to his first game next week!
He has a new toy- Gerry the Giraffe. He picked this toy out by himself at Kohl's.
He loves to grab my hair and hold it while he is falling asleep.
He tries to wrap his arms around your neck. It is so sweet!
His hands stay in his mouth. He loves to chew on them.
He has noticed his feet and likes to watch them move.
The cats are more interested now, and Jackson likes to watch them too.

Jackson always wakes up in a happy mood. (He does not get this from me. Tim wakes up in a fog, but he is usually in a good mood.)
Jackson and I still love to cuddle at night!

I can't believe my little monkey is getting so big! The time has gone by so fast. We are so blessed to be his parents. It gets better and better every month. Jackson goes to see Dr. Hart on Thursday, so we will update his stats then!

Buying for a Baby Boy

I am joining up with a linky from Kelly's Korner.

When I first found out I was having a little boy, I didn't think that I would be able to find clothes that were as cute as baby girl clothes. I was definitely wrong, and my checking account can prove it! Tim says that I can dress Jackson in "cute" clothes until he is 2, so I don't have much time. (He is almost 4 months old!) Here is where I love to buy clothes for Jackson:

1. Facebook Sales from Smockadots and Lolly Wolly Doodle. They have precious smocked and monogrammed outfits for great prices. Plus customer service is wonderful at both places!

2. Consignment Sales- Upstate SC has wonderful consignment sales where I always find precious clothes for great prices! I have gotten smocked outfits, coats, sleepers, and other outfits there. Try to get there early to get the best clothes!

3. Gymboree- I love Gymboree clothes! They are just too cute, and they last. If you wait until they have one of their sales, you can really rack up!

4. Orient Expressed, Shrimp and Grits Kids, Ragsland, Kelly's Kids, Castles and Crowns- These are also great stores. While I can't afford to pay full price, they do have some wonderful sales. Check their websites often to get some great deals on precious clothes.

5. Carter's brand- I just love Carter's clothes. I buy those at Kohl's, Belk's, and the outlet.

6. Janie and Jack- This is a new store that I just recently found. They have adorable clothes, but they are pricey! There is an outlet in Charleston, and I can afford some of the sale stuff at the outlet!

7. Showoff Kids- This store is in Spartanburg, SC. Even though it is almost an hour away, this store is worth they drive. They have precious smocked clothes for great prices. Check them out on Facebook!

Dressing Jackson in cute clothes has become an obsession! You should see his closet!

October and It Finally Feels Like Fall!

It has another busy week in the Van Heule house! Jackson is still doing great! He went to therapy again on Wednesday, and he was very excited to be back with Mrs. Kelly! He couldn't stop smiling at her. He worked really hard, but we still have some more goals to reach before we can decrease therapy to every other week. The main thing that he has to be able to do is to roll over from his tummy to back and his back to tummy. He also has to be able to turn his head while lying flat. He does this at home, but will not do it there. Jackson also has to be able to bring his hands to the middle and grab toys while lying down. He has almost mastered that one. We still have to work on the stretches and upping his tummy time. His head is beginning to pop out at the back. We go back to Dr. Hart this week, so we will see what he says. Please continue to pray that Jackson will not have to wear a helmet!

Playing at Noni's is exhausting!

To celebrate Jackson being 17 weeks old, we planned a busy Saturday. We picked up Noni and headed to the Carolina Girls store to get free t-shirts. Then we went to eat breakfast at Mary Beth's in Greenville. We decided to walk down to the Saturday Market. We bought Rudy a treat and then went to get cupcakes. (How can we go to Greenville and not get cupcakes?) Then we went to Color Clay Cafe for Jackson to make his "Cookies for Santa" plate. We also decided to make a tile and ornament while we there. It took over two hours to finish the pieces, but I think they will turn out precious! We want to make this a Christmas tradition-making a new Cookies for Santa plate each year. After that, we went to Costco. Who doesn't love Costco? We headed home to watch the Clemson game on TV. There couldn't have been a better end to a better Saturday: Clemson won, and Carolina lost!

On Saturday, Clemson played Florida State and won! Tim and Jackson went to tailgate with everyone while I was babysitting for some of other favorite kids, the Youngs. They stayed at the tailgate for a little and then headed home to watch the game on TV when it got hot. Tim was also excited that he and Jackson got to watch the Wyoming game on TV. They never show Wyoming football games here!
