Clemson Homecoming and Jackson's First Game

We took Jackson to his first Clemson football game today.  (He has been to tailgate, but he has never been to a game.) This was also Uncle Charlie's first Clemson football game.  We decided to look at the floats before heading to the tailgate spot.

Then we headed to the tailgating spot.  It was definitely a Griswald event.  We had lots of good food and a wonderful apple spice cake from Holly.  Jackson enjoyed being passed around.

 Then we went to the stadium about 30 minutes before kickoff. We used the Baby Bjourn, and Jackson did well in it.  When we got to the stadium, he sat in Tim's lap just looking around.  I had him by the end of the first quarter.  He was really good, but the noise scared him. He jumped every time he heard the cannon or every time the crowd got really loud. He ate during Half-Time.  Then he slept the entire second half.  It was loud too, and Jackson slept right through it.  Funny how he slept through that, but he wakes up when the door creaks open at home. Jackson woke up for the last 5 minutes of the game and was in the best mood.  He was smiling and talking. He hadn't really slept any all day except for the ride in the car.  I am so glad that Jackson was good during the game. We really like our seats.  This is the first time we have gotten to sit in them.  We even have some friends who sit near us. After the game, we went back to the tailgate and ate again!  Even though we had an exhausting day, it was great taking Jackson to his first Clemson game!

Eating Cereal for the First Time

This morning Jackson ate rice cereal for the first time.  He's not quite sure what to think about it. He made some funny faces and ended up eating half of the bowl.  We are supposed to add one new cereal a week.

Shopping in Downtown Clemson

On Friday afternoon we went shopping in downtown Clemson.  It was already packed with Homecoming traffic!  We headed to the Equipment Room afterwards and then got some pictures near the field.

Grits and Groceries

Tim picked up Uncle Charlie this morning at the train station in Clemson. Then we headed to Grits and Groceries for breakfast. Yum!

Jackson's 4-Month Check-up

Jackson went to see Dr. Hart for his 4-Month Check-up yesterday afternoon.  Dr. Hart says that his head looks really good, and he is pleased with the progress.  Jackson has reached all of the milestones that he should have by now.  Our next goal is rolling over which he should be doing by our next appointment. Dr. Hart says that all of this spit-up is normal and usually peaks at 4 months.  Hopefully, that will be getting better. Dr. Hart says that we can also start cereal.  We are going to try a new cereal every week. Since we have a busy weekend, we are going to wait and start on Monday!  Jackson had to get 3 shots and one oral vaccine.  He was in such a good mood until that point.  He screamed during the shots!  Now that he cries real tears, it was more heartbreaking!

Jackson was fine the rest of the afternoon, but he had a rough night. It all started when we went to Zaxby's with Noni and Charlotte. As Charlotte said, " Everyone knows Jackson is here." He started screaming at 7 and didn't stop until he finally fell asleep at 9:30.
