Sky Top Orchard

I love three day weekends! We went to Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC to pick apples today. We got there not long after they opened so it was not that crowded yet. We went straight to get apple doughnuts. Yum! After taking the traditional pictures and feeding Brooks, it was off to pick apples. Jackson loved running through the orchard. He liked carrying the basket and putting the apples in there. Brooks was happy in the carrier. I asked Jackson if he wanted to go on the tractor ride. He said, " I don't think so. I too little." We did go seethe goats, sheep, and ducks. After getting an apple cider slushy, we headed home. It was beginning to get hot! We had a great time on our mini trip to the mountains!

Clemson vs. Georgia

First Friday Parade
We went to the First Friday Parade Friday night. It was crowded and humid! We had to park far away, and we got there right when the parade started. It was actually perfect because we were at the corner where the parade started. Plus we got to sit in the grass. Jackson LOVED it! He sat so still and took everything in. He loved the cars, horses, dogs, Chick-fil-A cows, and the Tigers! It lasted a little over an hour, and he watched the whole thing. When you ask him his favorite part of the parade, he says, "Anmals. I go back parade."  After that, we walked down to see the GameDay setup. Jackson loved running around Bowman Field.

Game Time
We enjoyed a lazy Saturday morning and watched GameDay. It was fun to see Clemson on TV. We headed up there around 11:00 and pretty much drove straight to our spot. We were at GameDay by 11:45. It was so hot and humid! We didn't stay long before walking to the tailgate spot. Jackson walked/ran the entire way. He had fun playing with Cornhole, these flamingos, and the fire hydrant. It was Brent's Birthday and my parents' anniversary. It was nice seeing one of my high school friends, Meredith, and her family. It got really cloudy and soon the siren went off indicating a lightning warning. Tim and I took the boys into a nearby building and waited out the storm. We eventually did laps around the building putting both boys to sleep. Tailgating with the Griswalds was fun, and Jackson did not want to leave. We walked back to our car around 6:00, and we were home around 6:45. After baths and dinner, we were ready to settle in and watch the game. Jackson loved watching the Tigers run down the hill. He kept saying, "I go back." Brooks and I stayed up to watch Clemson #8 beat Georgia # 5! It was a great game, and we had a great day!

Second Week of School

We made it through the second week of school. Jackson stayed the entire time both days of school.he still cries but seems to do better after snack. He got a certificate on Thursday for having a good day. He also got to be a helper and put his Box Tops in a box. He tells us that "you have to listen at school." He also tells us that you have to whisper at school.

We took advantage of the warmer nights and went to the water park a few times. Jackson loves to stick his face in the water. Brooks likes to get his feet wet. We have had lots of fun there this summer. It will be crazy next year with 2 running around.

We also got to see the Good Year blimp up close. It was in the area for the Clemson game and is based at the Anderson Airport right now. It was neat to see!

Brooks is 16 Weeks Old

I feel really badly that I have been slack with the weekly updates for Brooks! He was such a sweet and easygoing baby!

• Wears size 2 diapers and has gotten chunky!
• Wears mainly 3 months, but some of those are getting tight!
• Eats 5 oz every three hours and 6oz at night and in the morning
• Sleeps all night! Takes his last feeding between 9 and 10 and then sleeps until 6! I am loving that!
• Still sleeps in the rocker but we are transitioning him to sleeping flat
• Loves to be held
• Loves to swing or play in a bouncy chair
• Still spits up A LOT!
• Talks and makes noises all the time
• Is very ticklish and will just cackle!
• Loves to play with the purple elephant
• Is doing great holding up his head
• Has been trying to sit up and pull himself up
• Hates tummy time and has rolled off his tummy a few times
• Likes a bath
• Likes his playmat
• Loves Jackson even though I think he might be scared of him
• Is so cute when he and Parker are together.
• Does not mind the car seat but prefers when I ride in the back with him.
• So easygoing; we can take him anywhere
• Hardly ever cries!

We are so blessed with this sweet little boy! I can't believe he is almost 4 months old!

Saturday!!!!

We made the most of every minute of this beautiful Saturday. We have had an unusually cool summer, and today was gorgeous! We started the morning at the Saturday Market in Greenville to get some peach salsa. This is the last of it until next summer.

Jackson decided he wanted to go to the Children's Museum. We love it there because Jackson can run! Today he really liked putting the balls in the tunnel, decorating the cakes, building with the blocks, and playing at the giant water table. It is so nice to be able to drop in for an hour and not feel like we are wasting money. That membership has been wonderful.

Then we headed to the mall to get Jackson new tennis shoes. They were having a sale, so got a pair of navy ones and Lightning McQueen ones. Have I mentioned that Jackson is obsessed with Cars? We watch it nonstop, and we play with cars all the time!

After lunch, we went to Costco for more diapers and wipes. I think I work to pay for diapers, wipes, formula, Smoothies, and applesauce! We also went to Clemson to pick up some Game Day shirts. We picked up Guys Pizza on the way home.

We decided to go to the water park at the YMCA. It is only open for one more week. Jackson loves to splash and has started putting his face in and blowing bubbles. Brooks loves to put his feet in the water. He also loves when the spray gets him. We ended the night with swinging and baths.

It was so nice to spend the day with my boys!
