Jackson's Party and Christmas Program

Jackson had his Christmas party at school on Thursday. Noni and Brooks went too. Of course Jackson did not touch the fruit!

Jackson's Christmas Program was this morning. Tim took the day off, and I left school for a little bit. The sanctuary was really crowded when we got there. We know to get there earlier next time. Jackson was not happy when Noni took him to his class. I have to admit I was worried about how he would do. I thought for sure that he would cry, but he didn't! He walked out with Mrs. Reynolds and got on the risers. He stood there through the first song, but he was really into it during Jingle Bells. He even stood there while the parents too pictures! He was excited that Noni and Papa J plus TuTu were there. His teachers were even shocked at how well he did. It was absolutely precious!

" Mary Had a Baby Boy" was one of the songs they sang. Jackson liked to change the words when he practiced.  "Mary had a baby boy, baby boy, baby boy, and his name was Brooksie (Jesus)!"

Christmas Cheer

Tonight we went to Pizza Buffet with the Watsons. Jackson loves their kids! After that, Jackson and I went to the Iveys' Christmas program. Jackson did not want to leave! We stopped by our favorite lights display to see Santa. This is as good as it gets!

Our Elf, Buddy, brought the boys a surprise.  Our Elf is really good.  He does not get into any trouble!

Jackson decorated a gingerbread house.  He did not want to put M&Ms on there!

Lights of Hope

We rode through the lights display tonight. We met my parents, Brent, Whitney, Parker, and Whitney's parents there. Brooks had his picture with Santa. Jackson loved all of the lights! Jackson kept say, "I go back." He absolutely loves lights. It is so magical for him! I love how excited he gets!

Christmas at Chick-fil-A

This is basically where we eat all of our meals.  Santa was at Chick-fil-A, so my Mom and I took the boys.  Brooks was the only one who would sit with Santa

It's Christmas In SC!

We have spent our weekend doing some fun Christmas things. On Friday night we had dinner at Moe's ( Jackson's new favorite place). Then we drove through a live Nativity near or house.  Jackson was impressed with the horses, and Brooks slept.

On Saturday morning, Jackson and I got up early to go to the Reindeer Run at the Y. It was muggy  and misty. I think I will sign Jackson up to run next year. He really enjoyed his Chick-fil-A.

I had to go to class so the boys played at home.  Then we headed to Clemson for lunch at McAlister's.  After that, we went to paint our annual Christmas plates. Jackson painted his own snowman which kept him entertained while we worked on the plates. I took the boys outside for awhile while Tim finished up the artistic parts. Over all, the boys were good, and the plates turned out precious!

Then we went to Greenville for their Christmas Parade. We were there an hour and a half before it started and got a great spot. Tim and I took turns walking around with Jackson and holding Brooks. Thankfully the weather was nice. Jackson really liked the parade especially the fire truck and police car. Brooks stayed awake for most of it. After we left, Jackson asked to go to Toys-r-Us ( his favorite place).

 We had a great time continuing some our Christmas traditions!

Brooks is 7 months!

Wow! My little baby is growing so fast! Brooks is at such a precious age! I love his smile and laugh!

• Wears 9-12m
• Eats 5-6 oz every 3 hours
• Loves oatmeal and has tried squash, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, pears, and apples
• Has 2 bottom teeth
• Rolls from stomach to back
• Pulls to stand up
• Can go from sitting to his stomach ( not always on purpose)
• Loves to cuddle
• Mostly sleeps through the night
• Loves to jump and will spend 30 minutes in his jumperoo
• Loves his giraffe paci
• Likes to sit and play with anything that plays music.
• Loves Sophie the Giraffe
• Likes to pull hair
• Already instigates things with Jackson.
• Squeals and laughs when he gets excited
• Nicknames- Brooksie, Brooksie Bear,Brooksie Boo, Little Boy ( from Jackson)
• Already pretty tough- Jackson pushes him down and then says "Look at him!"
• Is in a big boy car seat now.  We just moved him from the infant carrier during the last few weeks.  He loves it!

We are so blessed to have sweet Brooks!

Jackson's Check-Up

We took Jackson to his 2 1/2 year check-up today. He did not want to go, but we finally got him dressed and there. Luckily we didn't have to wait long. This appointment went much better than the last time. Jackson didn't cry, but he wouldn't talk either. Dr. Hart kept asking him questions, and he refused to answer. He finally told him the color of his shoes and shirt.  He is one healthy boy who doesn't like to eat!

To reward him, we went to Toys-r-Us where picked out a new car. He was really good in there.  Tim headed to work, and I enjoyed the day with the boys.
