Anniversary

Tim and I celebrated our five year anniversary. We started out our day with a trip to Split Creek farm with the boys. Jackson loved the goats, chickens, and the cats. Brooks was a little scared at first, but he loved the cats!

Then we went to Chick-fil-A for Cow Day. We met Noni and all dressed like cows for free chicken. Jackson loved putting on his spots and ears. Brooks just wanted to rip off his spots! There were two dressed-up cows there. Brooks loved them. Jackson is still a little scared of them.

Tim and I celebrated in downtown Greenville. We enjoyed going in stored that we never get to go to. We had dinner at The Orient and then had ice cream for dessert. We also went to Barnes and Noble before heading home.

Brooks is 14 months old!

Brooks is getting so big!

• He RUNS everywhere!
• Loves to mimic people ( shakes his head no)
• Loves a bath
• Loves to play in the water park
• Loves to slide
• Says DaDa, Ma Ma ( Mom), Baba, Buba, Yum, Ball, Na Na, kitty, moo
• Loves to eat!
• Tries to jump
• Gives kisses (mouth wide open, slobbery ones) and blows kisses
• Loves Jackson
• Loves to play with Jackson's toys especially when Jackson is napping.

Fourth of July

We started out our morning with breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. They may or may not know us there. We went to Lowe's so Jackson could buy seeds. He has been wanting to plant carrots all week. He and Daddy planted them. Brooks wanted to help too. It was actually cool outside, so we played outside for awhile.

Later that evening we went swimming at Noni and Papa Jerry's neighbor's pool. The boys love it. Jackson is doing so well! Then we ended the evening by making homemade pizza.

On Saturday, we had a yard sale, went swimming again, and then watched the Newspring fireworks. Brooks liked them. Jackson was scared at first and covered his eyes. Then he watched them and eventually fell asleep in the stroller. I don't know how.

Loving My Boys!

After teaching summer school for two weeks, I am ready for summer with my boys! They are really starting to play together now. They played in the sandbox together yesterday, and it was so sweet.

We are planning to have lots of fun at home, outside, and around town. This week we are going to learn about the USA, do some crafts, make some treats for the 4th, and watch the World Cup game. We may even attempt to watch fireworks! We are also going to the library and the water park. If we get bored, we may go in search of Jackson's "dancing guys." I will post pictures later in the week!

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa spent a week with us. The boys loved it! They were wild even when we met them at the airport! The boys had lots of play time with them. We went to the museum, Cabella's, Costco, downtown Greenville, Fall's Park, Clemson. We ate lots of food and enjoyed spending time together. Jackson wasn't feeling well for the first part of their visit, but here covered quickly! We also went to the water park and swimming lessons.

The boys loved playing in the fountain at Fall's Park. Jackson surprised me and was more into it than Brooks. Grandma and Grandpa got to experience the craziness in our house!

Jackson has really missed them. He doesn't understand that they had to go home. The boys are so blessed to have two wonderful sets of grandparents!

End of Swimming Lessons

We finished up swimming lessons last week. This was Jackson's last time in the parent/child class. I may have shed a tear. Both boys have loved it! Jackson has been blowing bubbles and going under. He loves to jump off of the side! He has done well with his kicking and using his arms. He loved doing the Hokey and Pokey and playing with the cups. He starts the preschool class in a week!

Brooks loves the water. He loves to splash and play with the toys. He tried to blow bubbles, but was not a fan of going under. He also liked to jump in and sing the songs. His favorite is playing in the water park afterwards. He loves going down the frog slide and will do it over and over.  We love going to the water park!

Brooks' Baptism

Brooks was Baptized at Central this morning. We also joined the church. Brooks was so good and didn't even cry when Dr. Bailey walked him down the aisle. He just looked around at everyone. It was so sweet. We were so blessed to get to share the day with my parents and Tim's parents. Brent and Whitney were also there.
