Saturday
We enjoyed breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. Then we ran some errands. We went to the Greek Festival to pick up dinner and watch the Clemson game.
Sunday
Jackson sang in church this morning. He and I had to be there at 9:00. He was a little nervous and made me sit with him even though on the way he told me I had to sit in the car. He went to Sunday School with his choir teacher. (First time). We dropped Brooks off in the nursery. Jackson's group sang first. They were so cute. Jackson sang some. He came back to sit with us and then went to Children's Church for the first time. His group sang last. I love listening to preschoolers sing. It is so cute! He was really proud of himself.
We spent the afternoon in Greenville going to the airplane park and Costco. Then we met Noni, Parker, Brent, and Whitney for Boo in the Zoo. Surprisingly both boys wore their costumes. Jackson was Cat in the Hat, and Brooks was Mickey Mouse. Jackson was really excited this year. He loved getting candy. Of course I have no pictures with both of them looking!
We went to eat dinner at Frodo's. Then we went to GiGi's house to look at her crazy Halloween decorations! Brooks loved it. They got to play with Will for a little while too.
We enjoyed our busy weekend!

Pumpkin Patch Fun
On Friday we took both boys to the Pumpkin Patch at a local church. This is one of my favorite fall traditions!
I am again reminded why I don't pay for professional pictures. I cannot get both boys to look and smile at the same time!
Brooks loved climbing on the pumpkins and the hay. Both boys picked out little pumpkins. Of course, Brooks just wanted to throw them!

Losing Track...
October is such a busy month! We have something every weekend, and I have something every day after school the next few weeks. I am just exhausted! I love when Jackson picks me to lay with hi because that means I can be asleep by 8:00. Brooks is our night owl, and I can't hang with him!
By the way, Brooks is talking up a storm! He can say thank you. He is constantly saying, " choo choo." He has always said Da Da a lot, but now he says daDEE. It is so funny. He is also constantly holding his arms up yelling, "Tah dah!"
Both boys are finally feeling better. I took a personal day on Tuesday to go with Jackson on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Of course we would have torrential rain and a tornado watch the entire day, so the field trip was postponed. ( Nothing ever works out for me.) The weather was so nasty that I let Jackson stay home. I didn't want to get out in it. We enjoyed lots of playing and naps.
We had church on Wednesday. Brooks really likes going. I still have to peel Jackson off of me. He gets to sing in big church on Sunday.
Jackson went on his field trip today. Thank goodness Papa Jerry could keep Brooks and Noni could take Jackson. It sounds like it was a lot of fun. He got a snack and a pumpkin. He also picked out a pumpkin for Brooks. I heard that he did not want to be in the class picture. I am not surprised.
I hate I couldn't go, but if I took another personal day, I would be done for the year. That is probably one of the things I hate the most about my job. I can't just take off for an hour forsically be a field trip or appointment. I have to make appointments months in advance to get them after school, and I have to be picky about personal days. I am so blessed that my mom keeps the boys. I would have missed 5 days of work just in the last two weeks due to the boys being sick. We would never make it, because I would basically be paying them to let me work!

Whew!
I need another weekend to recover from the week and weekend! I totally missed Brooks turning 17 months old! I feel like such a slacker mom these days. We do good to get out of the house each morning. We had a busy week, and the boys have been sick. It is crazy!
Last Sunday we had a baby shower for Alexa and little Thatcher! We can't wait to meet him at the end of the month. I am excited to finally get to buy pink and girlie stuff for Susie's baby!
On Wednesday I took the boys to get their flu shots. I was dumb and didn't bring the stroller. Thankfully we only waited for 30 minutes. Brooks cried a little, and Jackson didn't cry at all! Brooks started running a fever that night, and we thought it was a side effect of the shot. He and I slept on the couch.
On Thursday he was still running a fever in the morning but seemed to get better. The boys got haircuts. This was Brooks' first with Connie. He screamed and cried the whole time. He cried so hard he made himself throw up! It was crazy!
We went to Guy's that night and then to Denver Downs. The boys had so much fun. Jackson actually rode the cow train by himself. Both boys loved playing in the corn kernels. They also loved pushing the "tires." I attempted pictures in the pumpkin patch. We went on a hay ride, played in the hay maze, say the animals, had duck races, and went into the corn maze. We left just before a crazy thunderstorm hit.
Jackson did not sleep well and woke up with a fever. After a terrible day at school, I came home to two sick little boys. Jackson threw up ( so maybe Brooks threw up because of the virus?) and just wanted to be held. It was a long night!
On Saturday we layed around and did nothing. Both boys were clingy. We had already given our football tickets away, and we decided not to tailgate. That was a good choice.
Both boys were feeling better so we went to the balon festival in town and watched the balloon glow. Jackson was not a fan. Brooks liked it. We did ride Thomas the Train before we left and both boys were happy.

What a week!
Wow! It has been a crazy week! We have been super busy. Brooks and Jackson have had nasty coughs that they have now passed onto Tim. We had church and choir and a baby shower plus just the normal work stuff.
Jackson has not had a good week. He has not listened and has done the opposite of what we have asked. He did not have a good day at school yesterday easy. Apparently he did not want to clean up the puzzles. This is what he said, "Mrs. Harbin told me to clean up the puzzles. I didn't. Mrs Harbin said do I want to go to the office. I said no. That's my story. The end."
Brooks has started saying and responding more this week. At dinner the other night I was asking Jackson if he wanted to go for a walk. Jackson did not answer me , but Brooks said, "Yeh!" It was so funny. Whenever I open up Brooks' door on the Van, he says, "Hey!" It is so cute! He can also climb up the outside stairs by himself. He's not a baby anymore! I miss my snuggle baby!
We went to look at a house today. I liked the house, but I hated the yard. It is right on. The golf course. I am not sure how the folders would take two screaming boys. I love the neighborhood though. Of course I am so desperate to get out of this house, I would move almost anywhere. Both boys can open the doors, so I am a nervous wreck that one of them is going to escape and run right to the road.
