Callahan Orchard Field Trip

Tim went the field trip with Jackson's class to the pumpkin patch. I never got a lot of details, but I do have pictures. Maybe one day I can go on a field trip with him ( That would be a dream.)

Last Soccer Game

Tonight was Jackson's last soccer game, it was a little bittersweet. I am ready to have our evenings back, but I will miss watching them play. Jackson was on such a sweet little team. He really became more independent and really a risk-taker. He got to kick off the beginning of the second half. I think he really liked playing with the boys when it was his turn to be out better than actually playing. That's okay!

His team ended up going undefeated! The parents were definitely more excited than the kids. They got their trophies after the game. Jackson was so excited and walked right up there when his coach called his name! I loved seeing his face and him telling Brooks not to touch it! It was precious! We were so lucky to have such caring and patient coaches!

Community Helper Day

The boys have been learning about community helpers this week. The fire truck came to them on Monday.

Jackson had to dress up on Friday as a community helper.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We went to the Pumpkin Patch tonight at Trinity. Getting a picture was difficult. Brooks just wanted to walk around and pick up pumpkins. They did have fun playing in the hay. Of course they picked out lots of pumpkins!

Soccer

Jackson had 2 soccer games this week. He got to kick in one game,and then he got to kick off the second half in the other. He has ended up loving soccer and will be disappointed when it's over.

Brooks has loved it too. He loves running through the parent tunnel at the end. In fact, he and Colt usually run through it multiple times. The last game this week, they both kept running on the field- they were wild! Brooks even tried to go play with the team who were on the field after us. I had to drag him off screaming twice!

Crazy Fun Weekend

Uncle Chuck came to visit, and the boys had the best time! Jackson was so excited to pick him up at the train station on Thursday. The boys had a great 2 days together while I was at work. Jackson and Brooks did not let Uncle Chuck out of their sight!

We ate dinner at the Smokin Pig on Friday night and then headed up to Clemson to see the Game Day setup! It was a muddy mess, but there was a break in the rain. Downtown was packed with people excited about the game.

There is this hurricane off the coast that does not actually make landfall, but there is also this low pressure system pulling all of the moisture from the hurricane, so it has been raining for days, and it is supposed to get worse.

Saturday morning we watched Game Day, and then we tailgated for the Clemson Notre Dame game at my parents' house because it was pouring rain! The boys and I headed home while everyone else went to the game. It poured and was very windy. Branches kept hitting the house. Because it was a huge game, the stadium was still packed with people who braved the heavy rain. It was a great game and almost gave me a heart attack at the end!

On Sunday we woke up to a flooded driveway and yard. The rain continued throughout the morning. Jackson went to a birthday party that afternoon and insisted that Uncle Chuck go with him. Brooksie and I went shopping while they partied. We finished the evening with dinner at Carolina Ale House. Jackson insisted on taking Uncle Chuck back to the train station. Both boys definitely have missed him and the extra attention.

Thankfully the rain stopped for us Sunday afternoon, but the rest of SC was not that lucky. There has been severe flooding along the coast, and Columbia got the worst of it with more than 20 inches of rain. Thankfully our family is all safe!

Things Little Boys Do

A few weeks ago Jackson put a car on Brooksie's head. That is nothing unusual except it is a motorized one. The wheels started turning and grabbed his hair. This happened.

Then tonight Jackson decided he needed "stamps" like Uncle Chuck.

Yes, that is our address stamp!
