The Polar Express

Today we went to Bryson City, North Carolina to ride the Polar Express. We took all of the little cousins.  We had a great day!  A cold front came through, and it was really cold (in the 40's). We walked around and enjoyed the train museum before boarding the train. We attempted a group picture.

The kids were so excited when we got on the train. They all wanted to ride together, and the girls on the train were great and allowed us to move throughout the train car.  They loved when the conductor punched their tickets. They kids were so excited when the hot chocolate song came on!  They loved the cookies and made a mess with the hot chocolate.

They looked precious in their matching pajamas. They had so much fun looking out the windows and dancing.

We made it to the North Pole. Then Santa came on the train! They loved getting their bells and sitting with Santa.

No one wanted to get off of the train!  Jackson kept asking when we were going to ride the Polar Express again.

Cookie rented a cabin for the weekend, so we went up there for dinner.  The cabin was beautiful, but it was on top of a mountain!  It was curvy one-way road!  It was a little scary with all of the drop offs! We decided we wanted to be gone before the sun set!

The kids had a great time playing, and we all enjoyed spaghetti and time together.  The views from the cabin were beautiful, and thankfully going down wasn't as scary! Jackson slept the whole way home, and Brook stayed awake talking and singing "my song: which is Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  He knows almost all of the words!

We had a great time riding the Polar Express with the Griswalds today!

Preschool Christmas Program

The boys had their preschool program this morning. It was very sweet.  It hit me that this is Jackson's last Christmas program at Central!

Brooks did great. He kept telling me he was not singing, so I was glad he stood up there. He did some motions, but mostly he jumped! Thankfully he did not fall off of the risers! The loved ringing his jingle bells.

Jackson's group did great too. He didn't do a lot of singing, but he was up there. He did talk with his friend, Sarah.

Both boys are having such a great year!  I am so grateful for caring teachers and sweet friends!

Christmas Parties

Both boys had their Christmas parties today.  Jackson started asking last night who was coming to his party.  I couldn't leave school, and Noni was working at Mother's Morning Out.  He begged Tim to come. Tim rearranged things and made it to his party.  He walked by Brooks' room.  Brooks was the only one still eating. He is so slow.  Jackson was so excited that Tim was there. I feel badly about note getting to be there, but I am glad Tim got to go.

Christmas Pageant

Tonight was the Childrens's Choirs' Christmas Pageant. Jackson was so excited to be an angel. He had a weekend full of practices, and it was a sweet program!

This little Christmas Monkey was not happy about going. He kept saying, " I not singing. No, I not."

We enjoyed the spaghetti dinner afterwards and then a visit with Santa. Brooks was all about Santa. Jackson said he already talked to Santa, but he eventually did it. Pictures coming soon!
