What a Week!

We have had a busy, busy week! On Monday, Jackson went back to therapy.  He did great walking between Tim and me.  He also got taped up again, so now he looks like an Olympian. Hopefully this tape will help strengthen his stomach muscles and make walking easier.

Jackson and Noni went to Story Time at the library again.  Jackson especially likes the music and coloring. Jackson went back to Mother's Morning Out on Thursday.  This week he had his first trip to Time Out. Apparently, he threw a ball and another kid went after it.  Well Jackson did not want to share his ball, so he hit the kid and pulled his hair. He definitely has a mind of his own and has been in Time Out at home too. It doesn't seem very effective.

Baby Jackson

We went to Brent and Whitney's on Friday night to celebrate Baby Jackson.  We Enjoyed the football themed gender reveal party. Jackson is excited about his new baby cousin.

Clemson vs. Ga Tech

Even though I had class Saturday, we still managed to make it up to Clemson for some family tailgating fun. By the time I got home and got everything packed, we made it by halftime. Thankfully someone Tim knows gave us a great parking space right behind the stadium. It was a warm, beautiful fall day. We got to the tailgate, and Jackson got to play with Will.  Berkeley, Nichole, and Kristi entertained him with walking, and corn hole.  It is fun to hear the crowds and the fireworks and then wait for the TV delay. Jackson had a great time.

It was close for awhile, but Clemson finally pulled it out. When everyone got back, we had burgers. The tubas from the band came and played for us. I think Jackson liked it! He was out late 2 nights in a row! It is fun to tailgate with family.

16 months

It is crazy to think that Jackson is 16 months old. He has the cutest personality.

• Wears size 18 months clothes
• Wears size 5 diapers
• Loves to eat everything-pizza, Yo Baby Yogurt, spaghetti, Cheerios, peas, green beans, Chick-fil-A
• Loves to read books
• Will watch some TV-Chuggington and Jake and the Neverland Pirates
• Loves our cat Abby
• Crawls, but will not walk. We are headed back to therapy.
• Talks all the time- says "okay" along with his other words and babbles constantly
• Does not like to take naps except on weekends
• Likes music and likes to dance
• Is always on the move
• Likes to go to Story Time a the library
• Still cries at MMO. He has only made it an hour.

End of September

Our days are so packed that they all run together. I find that rather sad. We work 9/10 hours a day, spend maybe 4 hours with Jackson, and then it is time for bed. It starts all over the next day.now that I am taking classes again, I basically work 7 days a week.

On Friday night, we enjoyed some family time. We took Jackson and Noni to eat at Frodo's and then to Sesame Street Live. I wasn't sure how he would do at the show, but he really enjoyed it. We went to the Play Zone first. He loved pushing the buttons and listening to the characters. He doesn't really cooperate for pictures anymore, so I got a lot of the back of his head. The show started, and he watched it. He liked to stand and clap. It was so cute. Of course they were selling these Elmo balloons, and Jackson wanted one. As we were leaving, he pointed to them. So yes, I spent $10 on a balloon, but he loves it.

I actually had Saturday off, so we enjoyed a lazy day of watching football. It was so nice.

Clemson Football

Clemson is now 3-0, and Jackson has been to the past two games. The first home game was against Ball State, and it was miserably hot! We started out at the Tiger Cub birthday party where Jackson had his first tiger paw painted on his cheek. It lasted about 5 seconds before he rubbed it off. He was a little cranky when we got to the tailgate, but Chicken Minis made it all better and so did Kristi's cookies. Did I mention how hot it was?  We waited until right before kickoff  to head into the game. Jackson liked the balloons, fireworks, and the team running down the hill. He made it through almost the first quarter. It was so hot that Jackson and I went under the stands by the misting fan. He was not happy. Then we waited in a huge line for a shaved ice.  It was totally worth the $7.  It looked like a storm was coming so we decided to watch the rest of the game at home.

I had class the day of the Clemson Furman game, so Tim took Jackson. I think they had a great day. I don't have any pictures though.

A Little Talker

Jackson has become such the little talker this past week. He is constantly making noises.  He says Rudy plainly. He said "playing" yesterday. He has also been repeating the same sounds, but we can't figure out what he is saying yet.

It has been a long time since my last post. I just can't seem to get caught up at school even when I put in 10-12 hour days. I feel like I am missing a lot of Jackson's new stuff, and I hate that.
