Jackson- 21 Months

It seems like I just did a post about Jackson being 20 months old!  Time has flown this month!

Jackson:

• Wears 18-24m clothes, size 5 diapers,
• Loves to eat pizza, grilled cheese, pouches, Pirate's Booty cheese puffs, strawberries, bananas, ice cream, pretzels, etc. He has gotten to be a picky eater though.  He might eat a grilled cheese one day and then not touch another one for a week. He has gotten to where he LOVES a kid's meal from Wendy's with the chicken nuggets. It is funny that he won't chicken nuggets that we cook at home, but he loves those.
• Finally drinks chocolate milk and apple juice
• still goes to Story Time and Mother's Morning Out
• Runs everywhere!
• Loves to take off his shoes, socks, and pants.  Keeping both shoes on is nearly impossible!
• Talks all of the time and repeeats just about anything that you say to him
• Is learning colors.  He knows blue and is working on red and purple
• Can count to ten if you prompt him. If you say one, he will say two and continues to chime in as you count to 10.
• goes crazy in stores especially if we are dumb and let him walk.
• Favorite toys- bus, puzzles, iPad, cars trucks, trains
• Still very attached to the his blanket. We are working on getting rid of Paci.  He can only have it at night and nap.  He cannot have it in the car anymore.
• loves to look at pictures and video clips of himself
• has finally realized I now have a big belly.
• is now registered for 2 year preschool for next year.

Jackson is a bundle of energy, and he keeps us on our toes.  We love every minute with him.  He is happy most of the time, and we blessed to have such a sweet of little boy.

Dad's Birthday and Clemson Baseball

Obviously my goal for being a better blogger is not going as planned. Time is the issue with everything!

To celebrate my dad's birthday we went to the Clemson v. South Carolina baseball game at Fluor Field in Greenville. Of course there had to be crazy weather.  They had originally called for some snow, but that did not happen. As soon as we got to the stadium, it started pouring.  There was an hour delay, and it was hard keeping Jackson entertained.  Plus, it was FREEZING! My mom and I ended up spending most of the game sitting against the wall and entertaining Jackson. We spent lots of time eating and walking up and down the concourse. Jackson liked seeing the Tiger, Tiger Cub, and Reedy Rippit. However, he did not like it if they saw him and waved to him. My Dad and Tim had to stand the whole game, but at least it was a good one for the Tigers.  We won! After freezing at the game, we stopped by McAlister's for dinner!  It was yummy!

To further celebrate my dad's birthday, we all went to Outback Sunday night.  Jackson did pretty good, and then he got bored! It is almost impossible to keep him entertained at a restaurant. Then we enjoyed cake at home. Happy Birthday, Papa J!

Slacker

Basically I have been a blog slacker lately. Things are very busy at home, and school is very stressful.  We are trying to get ready for New Baby (still no name). Jackson has become a wild man! By the time, my head finally hits the pillow, I am out!

New Baby is always on the move! When I finally get to sit down, he goes crazy! I can't wait to meet this little man. The good news is that I passed the long glucose test. I go back to the doctor March 11, so we will find out how he is doing then.

I have also been slack about taking pictures of Jackson.  I hate it because he is at a fun age. He talks all the time, and pretty much repeats what he hears. He will even order at a restaurant as long as they have grilled cheese or pizza. He has also developed a nasty temper and throws fits daily. He loves trucks, buses, and trains!

My goal is to do better in March!

Clemson

It is a beautiful, warm day in SC. After lunch, we decided to take Jackson to the Botanical Gardens in Clemson. On this 65 degree today, it was packed. Jackson loved running around. He laughed and laughed! We walked a long way.  I am not used to walking that far,  and I was in pain. We decided to get some Clemson ice cream afterwards, and that made me feel better. Jackson loved it! We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes, but it was worth it!

Super Saturday

There is no better way to spend a Saturday morning than at AnMed doing the 3 (really 4) hour glucose test. I had to take a day off from school on Wednesday for the 1 hour test. My glucose was 140. In order to pass, it can't be over 140. Dr. Hearn wanted me to do the long one since I am measuring ahead and Jackson was so big.

I am starving. I have graded all of my papers, and I still have 45 minutes! Hopefully my glucose will be below 140 or right at it!

Snow?

We woke up this morning to snow flurries, so Jackson and I went outside in our pajamas to experience it.  Jackson loved it and cried when we came back inside.  As quickly as it started, it ended! (It was 60 degrees yesterday.)  We had a lazy morning but enjoyed every minute of it.  Tim and I went to see a movie today, and Jackson stayed with my parents.  Then we enjoyed a quiet evening at home.  It is so nice to be lazy on the weekends since that does not exist during the week!

Jackson tried Good & Plenty candy today and loved it.  This cannot be my child!  He did enjoy yogurt last night from Yogurt Mountain, so maybe he is mine!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day or not!  This has to be one of the worst days of the year to be a teacher!  Valentine's Day is always crazy, and I am glad that it is almost over!

I had bus duty and class today, so I left this morning before Jackson was awake and got home after he went to sleep. He has had a few busy days.  Yesterday he had a Valentine's party at Story Time at the library.  We made Valentine's for all of his friends there. He was excited about seeing all the ones he got from his friends.  I hate I missed his first party!  He also took some Valentine treats to his teachers at school today and made us a couple of surprises. He and Tim enjoyed pizza as their Valentine's Day dinner. 

I hate that I missed spending the day with my boys today, but I am glad another Valentine's has come and gone.
