More Soccer

Jackson has made progress with soccer. He actually kicked it twice last week. We had three games in a row because one was rained out the week before. His running has improved, and he is getting g better with the ball. He has a great time running and playing with the other kids. I think his favorite part is the snack at the end. He kind of likes the tunnel, but Brroks and his buddy Colt love running through the tunnel.

Thomas the Train

We spent a rainy day in North Carolina seeing Thomas and Percy! We also got to ride Thomas. We had tickets to ride Percy but Jackson also had his soccer pictures so we didn't make it in time. The boys also loved the Round House. Even though it was rainy, we had fun. We also ran into Will and Cookie! We enjoyed Cracker Barrel afterwards. That is now a favorite for Jackson.

First Soccer Games

Jackson had his first soccer games this past week. He was so excited! He started the game and didn't understand why he had to sit out. He did really well.

He never kicked the ball, but he did run after it. He loved the snacks. He is #4. He loves that he is on Kelin's team!

Brooks is just excited to play with one of his church/school buddies.

Preschool Movie Night

Tonight we are at Preschool Movie Night. We ate pizza and watched 101 Dalmations.

Clemson Game

Clemson v. App State

After another busy week, we were back in Clemson today. Brooks has been cheering and yelling , "Go Tigers!" all week! Will came to the tailgate today, and the boys had a great time playing in the rocks.  Thatcher also came for a little while.  We made to the 4th quarter today- it was a record with the boys.  The weather was perfect- cloudy and low 80's.  I was actually chilly with the wind. It was a great Clemson win!  Brooks loves hanging out with our "fall family." They all love him and play with him. Jackson sat with Noni and GiGi and Will.  He enjoyed his hot dog and people watching!

We had soccer two nights, and Wednesday night church started up again.  Tim and Jackson played golf on Friday night.  We also had some drama with a neighbor's tree this week. A 20-25 ft limb fell on her house in the middle of the night. We ended up with 4 police cars, 2 fire trucks, and 1 ambulance on our street at 1am!  Thankfully she was fine and didn't end up with much damage. All of the rain and storms have a done a number on the water oaks on our street.  We are having an arbor guy come check ours out, and we are getting some estimates to take it down.

Brooksie and His Favorite Things to Say

" Ci Ci" (. How he says Brooksie)

" Ci Ci's turn."

" Turn right!"

" Tay, Mommy, Tay?" Has just changed to "Kay, Mommy, kay?"

"That one!"

"This way!"

Sky Top 2015

Today we made the trip to Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC. We ate breakfast at Tandem Creperie in TR. It was good but too expensive for us. We got to Sky Top around 9:30.we headed into the orchard first. Brooks preferred to throw the apples (ones already on the ground)rather than pick them. He loved sword fighting with sticks too. Jackson was a good helper. The only apples left were at the top so Tim had to climb the trees and throw them down.

We played in the play area. I was nervous about Brooks doing it with his arm. We rode the hay ride next. Then we got in line for Apple cider donuts-yum! Both boys loved them. In fact we had to buy another dozen! We went to see the animals and then went through the bamboo forest. Both boys loved that! They both slept on the way home.

We ended summer playing in the backyard with bubble guns.we had a great day!
