End of June

I can't believe June is over! I feel like it was just May. Summer is already halfway over, and I am already sad.

We've had a busy week. Tim has been out of town so it was just the 4 of us for 5 days. We kept busy with birthday parties, Summer Fun, and doctor appointments.  We stayed up late, watched movies in bed, ate lots of pancakes. We also went to church for Sunday School. Walker stayed in the nursery for the first time. 

Walker is 7 Weeks Old

Walker is 7 weeks old. This has been a fun week as he is smiling more and making more noises. He loves his mat and talks to the lights. He still loves to cuddle and is already a mama's boy!  He is still eating every 3 hours and sometimes sleeps 4-5 hours at night ( like once or twice a week).

Jackson and Brooks love him.

I am enjoying every cuddle which is why my house is a disaster.

Swimming Lessons Take 2

Jackson and Brooks have had swimming lessons with Miss Margaret this week. They each had lessons for 45 minutes each day so we spent about 2 hours at Margaret's house. Thank goodness her backyard is shady!

Jackson has done awesome. He is now swimming across the pool by himself. He is also diving for rings. It is great to see his confidence growing!

However, Brooks has been something else. He started out great and jumped right in. Then we had 2 rough days where he did not get his treat at the end. He did a lot better the last day. 

Graycen came with us for two days  to entertain the one not swimming. Thank goodness for her help.

Walker- 6 Weeks

Walker is 6 weeks old today. 

He is starting to smile and coo. He is also starting to play with his toys on his mat.

He has also been very opinionated this week as in he screams if he is not being held! 

He has been a trooper this week going to swimming lessons. The hot fresh air has made him sleepy though. It's been close to 100 every day.

He has been sleeping 4-5 hours at night, so it is getting better.

It is fun seeing him wear all of Jackson and Brooks's clothes.

5 Weeks

Walker is 5 weeks old today! He is finally busting out of his newborn clothes and wearing 3 months. That makes me a little sad. He is also staying awake for longer periods. We love our little J. Dubs!

Brooks

Today Brooks said, "Can I see your claws?" He meant my fingernails! This is one crazy boy!

Walker's First Month

Walker-1 month

Walker is 1 month old. It seems like just yesterday, but at the same time feels like he has always been here.

• Wears newborn clothes
• Eats 3 1/2 ounces every 3 hours ( goes 3 1/2 hours at night if I am lucky)
• Eyes have turned from grey to blue, so it will be interesting to see if they stay blue
• Loves his monkey Paci and even holds it
• Loves to be held all the time! This boy loves to snuggle, so I am taking advantage. My house is a mess, and there is always tons of laundry, but I do get to cuddle my last baby! He is a little high maintenance!
• He loves to be held sideways facing me and loves someone to pat his back.
• Likes to take baths
• Put his feet in the pool for the first time today
• Tolerates the car seat for a little while and then screams
• Is losing a lot of the hair on top of his head
• Has the funniest hair on his ears
• Starting to smile and coo. 
• Is so loved by his big brother!
• Still getting over thrush-yuck!

Walker is 4 Weeks Old

Sweet Walker is 4 weeks old today. He is still a sweet baby and still loves to be held. He still eats 3 1/2 ounces every 3 hours even at night. He hates diaper changes. He tolerates the car seat. He definitely lets you know when he is done because he SCREAMS!

Jackson and Brooks still love to hold him. Jackson calls him Mr. Happiness. Brooks is always walking up to him saying, " Hey Little Fella!" Or "Hey Buddy!"

He is fighting some thrush so he is on antibiotics. The other two never had that. Plus I think he has a blocked tear duct. He is still a happy baby though.

He has had a lot of firsts this week- first trip to Greenville, the Saturday Market, and the library.

Birthday Party

This afternoon the boys had their birthday party at church. We set up the jumpy castle in the gym and then food in the fellowship hall. This was the first party Jackson invited kids from his class.  This was also a party for Brooks since life was hectic around his real birthday. The kids had fun running around the gym.

We also had Buttons the clown. Their faces when he walked in were priceless. They loved it! Brooks was all in it.  I was really proud of Jackson. He did almost everything Buttons asked him to.  The best was when Buttons pulled out the huge dinosaur balloon for Brooks and the car for Jackson. Then all of the other kids got balloons too.

We spent the evening playing with new toys.
