The Nursery is Painted!

Tim spent all weekend painting the baby's room, and it is finished!  He did a great job!  I love the color, and it has brightened up the room.  Tim and my dad went to Greenville to pick up the crib and dresser this afternoon!  I wish I had pictures of the huge boxes on the truck!  It was crazy!  Then Brent came over to help them get everything in the house.  It is heavy furniture! Now all we have to do is put the crib together.

Speaking of taking pictures, I think my camera has officially died.  Last week the digital screen stopped working, and I had to use the viewfinder.  Then I tried to take pictures today, and the camera clicked like it was taking a picture, but when I checked, there were no pictures.  Oh well, it has been a good camera.  What made it even better was that I didn't pay for it.  Now we begin the task of looking for a new camera.  I really want to get in the next two weeks to have for my showers and to document the room and everything.

When it rains, it pours! After we found out that we owed money to the federal government somehow, we were going to put the stair railing and banister project on hold.  Then I dreamed that I fell down the stairs.  Just today, Maria fell down the last three steps.  Now we are pulling money out of the hospital savings fund to pay for it.  Those stupid bats didn't help anything!  Hopefully, things will get better from here! ( I guess that technically the camera money is coming from the hospital fund too.  Oh well, AnMed will eventually get their money.)  Unfortunately, we did decide to cancel our trip to Charleston.  We really both need to get away, but we can't afford it now.  I guess our next trip out of Anderson will actually be with a baby!

Spring in the South

I absolutely love this time of the year!  The weather is perfect and begs you to come outside.  The past two days have been in the lower 80s. Our flowers are starting to bloom in our yard.  I don't know why some of our daffodils have not bloomed.

Tim and I headed to Greenville Friday night to eat at Chicora Alley and walks some downtown.  I love the sweet potato fries there. Plus, there is a beautiful view of Falls Park from the window.

Tim started painting the nursery Thursday night, and he should finish it tonight.  Hopefully, if the weather holds out, then we will be able to go pick up the furniture tomorrow!  I can't wait to finally organize everything in that room! Almost all of the monkey art that we ordered is here.  I bought a frame and mat for one last night, and it looks precious!

March and Birthdays

March has been a very busy month so far.  I don't know where the time goes!

Dad's Birthday
We took Dad out to eat at Matty's to celebrate his birthday.  Then we enjoyed his coconut cake! Well, some of us enjoyed his cake.

Clemson Carolina Baseball Game
On Saturday, March 5, we were supposed to go to the baseball game at Fluor Field, but it was rained out.  We still headed to Mellow Mushroom with the Watsons. Then we went to the game Tuesday night and sat on the hill with the Watsons, Dad, Brent, and two of his friends.  It was a little cold and Clemson lost,  but we still had a good time.

Tim's Birthday
Tim celebrated his 33rd birthday.  It was a quiet night, because I had class.  We did cake his cake, a European Fudge from Strossner's to my parent's house.  We were planning to go to breakfast at Grits and Groceries on Saturday morning, but we slept too late.  I still owe him a birthday.  This is his last birthday without kids!

Baby Jackson
I went to another doctor's appointment at 25 weeks, and everything looked good. Jackson's got a strong heartbeat. My next appointment is at the end of March, and then I go every two weeks!  I will be 27 weeks on Tuesday!  Tim spent all weekend painting the trim in the nursery.  It was gorgeous this weekend, so I hate that he was stuck inside.  He will paint the walls next weekend, and then we can go get the furniture!  My new favorite thing to do is go to the consignment sales.  I got Jackson more clothes (I know-like he needs anymore!), but you can't beat some of the deals.  I got 5 onsies for $4, and if you buy them brand new, they are $15.  It just doesn't make sense to spend full price when you can get precious stuff at these sales!  There is another one in a couple of weeks!  I also decided that I would be better off buying a baby book instead of just blogging. It is so hard for me to get on here sometimes.  My goal is to the baby book and then update the blog as much as I can.
