Trick or Treat

The boys had a great time Trick or Treating. We started out attempting pictures at our house.

We ate Guys Pizza at Noni and Papa Jerry's while we waited for Parker and the Ivey kids. Jackson was so excited when they got there. We actually went around the entire neighborhood. Jackson was so excited to get "candeeeeee." After wearing his hat to all of the events, he did not want to wear his hat tonight. Jackson loved running with Murphy.

Poor Mickey Mouse ran after them, but he was excited for his mini Hershey bar that he actually ate (wrapper and all) while we walked! He did spit it out the wrapper eventually.

It is fun taking the boys around in the same neighborhood that I went trick or treating in as a child.

CPC Fall Festival

Today we had the Fall Festival at church. Brooks was asleep when we got there but quickly woke up. We did the Cookie Walk, got some cotton candy, and played the other games. They of course liked throwing the rings and balls. Jackson loved watching the dunking booth. Tim took them on the hayride. Mr. Gray was driving. The boys were a little scared. Jackson even saw his friend Evie Kate from school, but he wouldn't talk to her. We had a fun time!

Homecoming 2014

We always have the worst luck, and everything always happens at the same time.  Yesterday and a few hundred dollars later, we found out that a rodent built a nest in the air filter of the van. Then today I backed into another car at the post office. Thank goodness there is not a lot of damage, and I was in the Honda.

We headed off to Homecoming armed with a nugget tray. Noni rode with us. We met TuTu and Cookie at the floats. The boys had lots of fun. Brooks really loved the balloons the most.

We headed to the tailgate, and the boys loved playing in the rocks with their cars. Brooks was also fascinated by Corn Hole. Brooks makes himself at home. He grabs things off the table. He even walks up to other people's tables!

Night games are hard for us, but we made it through halftime. The game was kind of boring because there was no offense. Brooks just clapped and clapped thought he loved watching the balloons go up and the fireworks when we finally scored! He also liked the tractor pulling the homecoming float. Jackson sat with Noni and slept through the first quarter. He also liked the tractor. We left after halftime and finished watching the game at home.

Concord Carnival and Fireworks

Tonight we went to the Concord Carnival. Mickey Mouse was excited, but the Cat in the Hat was a little cranky. He cheered up after getting some prizes. We did the Cake Walk but didn't win. Both boys loved the Book Walk, and Brooks eventually won. They also both loved the game where you throw hula hoops. Jackson didn't pay attention to the other costumes which surprised me. Brooks loved running down the hall.

We ate dinner there (Guys Pizza) and walked through the silent auction.

Then we went home, put on pajamas, and headed to Clemson for the Tigerama fireworks. Brooks fell asleep, but Jackson stayed awake. He sat in the front seat with me and watched them. We tried sitting outside, but it was too cold. Brooks woke up for the last ones. Jackson actually enjoyed them and was proud of himself for not being scared.
