Halloween 2013

We had an exciting day!  My morning started out early with bus duty.  I was able to leave school for a little bit to go to Jackson's party at school.  They had a costume parade this morning and went from classroom to classroom.  These two year-olds had quite a snack- Munchkins, chicken minis, cheese, grapes, bananas, fruit cups, and of course sweet treats!  Jackson was surprised to see me.  He walked in with his class and went to sit on the rug.  They said the blessing and then found a seat.  He did want me to break his food into smaller pieces.  He did ask for more minis.  I slipped out so he would not be upset.  I don't think he noticed that I left.

The kids were pretty good at school, and the day passed quickly.  We got home and got dressed in our costumes.  We went to get Guy's Pizza and headed to Noni's and Papa J's.  We went trick-or-treating there first.  We tried to take Jackson to Sue's, but he was not interested.  He turned into a different child when the Iveys got there!  He was wild.  He went running up to the houses with them and said trick-or-treat.  Then he would say thank you. He kept saying there was a ghost.  Then he would yell, "Boo!"  He was all jacked up and did not even have any candy! We got some cute pictures of the boys and Parker.

Jackson kept saying, "I go back trick-or-treating."  He loved just running around in the dark and playing with the Ivey kids.  He is going to be disappointed when he finds out it only comes once a year!

Brooks and His First Tooth!

Brooks's first tooth is starting to break through.  He has been a little fussy lately and really wants to chew on his paci!  It is barely coming through, but I bet it will be out by the weekend!

Sunday Funday

We had great weather on Sunday so we spent most of it outside.  Brooks and I went to church. Then we went to the Clemson women's soccer game.  They were giving away free pizza and free bags for the kids. We enjoyed being outside and watching the game. Jackson mainly played with his cars on the bleachers.  He did give the Tiger a high five though.  Getting a picture with him was a different story though.  Brooks got his first picture made with the Tiger.  At halftime the kids could go out on the field. Someone was not happy!

We left the game and tried to take Christmas card pictures again.  These went a little better but someone was still a little difficult.

Later that afternoon we went to Central for their fall festival. Jackson wore his jersey, and Brooks dressed up like a football. Jackson did a few games and was ready to go.

We enjoyed dinner at my parents.  Jackson is feeling better, and am so glad!

Boo in the Zoo

After a few doses of antibiotics, Jackson was feeling better. We decided to go ahead with our plans and go to Boo in the Zoo. We went early since the forecast was so cold. Jackson was not scared, but he did not like waiting in line. He is not used to all of those people being at the Zoo. He was running everywhere. Last year he was not walking yet! We will have two walkers/runners next year!

We ate dinner at Frodo's afterwards. Jackson thought he was a big kid sitting with the Iveys. I am so glad he is feeling better!

A LONG Friday

Jackson started running a fever Thursday afternoon and just felt horrible. He was up a lot during the night. He seemed to feel a little better Friday morning so we went about our day. Tim went outside to put stuff in his car and discovered that one of his back windows was smashed! We called the police, called my mom to come get the boys, and we waited. The police came, and there had been lots of break-ins during the night. My mom came and dropped me off at school. Jackson still was not feeling well. I had Field Day, so I couldn't leave. Mom and the boys went back to our house to wait for the window people. They came to pick me up at school.

Once Tim got home, I took Jackson to the doctor. We waited for thirty minutes. He kept saying, " I don't feel good."  We were finally called back to a room. He did have a temperature of 101.8. When the doctor came in, he started crying uncontrollably. He got so upset that he got sick everywhere!  We had to change clothes and rooms. He was finally diagnosed with tonsillitis. We left with a prescription.

I dropped Jackson off and picked up Brooks. He and I went to the carnival at school. Brooks liked looking at everyone. He fell asleep while we were walking around.

We got home and some antibiotics into Jackson. He kept saying, "I don't feel better." He slept much better though. When it rains, it pours...

Jackson's Preschool Update

Jackson had his best day ever at school on Tuesday. He fell asleep on the way home Monday afternoon and slept until 5:30 Tuesday morning. He also had a chocolate frosted donut with sprinkles for breakfast. Maybe that had something to do with it. Apparently he is usually pretty whiny until after snack. We can hardly get him to eat anything, but apparently he enjoys snacks.  A few weeks ago we think he had to go to time out. He was really quiet after school one day. I just happened to ask if he had to go to time out. He said yes and said some other little boy went to time out too.  We asked him what he did. We could never understand him,  but he said the same thing over and over. We never heard from his teachers so I guess it wasn't that bad.

A Wedding and Christmas Pictures

This was another crazy weekend. I had class Saturday morning. Then we had to get ready for a wedding in Clinton. Whitney's brother got married at a very pretty place. It was a very pretty wedding, but it will be Jackson's last for awhile! He never made it to the ceremony. At the reception, he wanted to throw the pumpkins. Brooks loved dancing to the music.

We ended the night on a sour note. Clemson went down big against Florida State.

On Sunday afternoon we went to Costco, to see the WWII planes, and then to attempt Christmas card photos. Poor Brooks took a beating. Jackson did not want to cooperate. Hopefully I have something that will work.

Christmas
We are going to see Santa at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, so we have been talking to the boys about Christmas. Jackson says Christmas so cute. He says, " I want cars, a bus, a motorcycle, and a choo choo. What else?" He is full of questions lately.

Pumpkin Patch and Game Day

We went to the Pumpkin Patch at Trinity. Jackson loved it! He was even posing for pictures. That does not happen too often around here. Brooks was not impressed with the pumpkins though.  It took Jackson forever to pick out his pumpkins. He finally settled on three little ones.

We went to Clemson to see the Game Day setup. This is the second time Game Day has been at Clemson this season. Jackson loves running on Bownan Field. The boys even got to pose in front of the Heisman House. We. Ended our fun night with dinner at McAlister's.

Family Weekend

On Friday, we went to Fall for Greenville. Jackson enjoyed pizza. Tim enjoyed his donut hamburger. I had hibachi chicken. We all split Mac and cheese and a cupcake. The boys had fun people watching, and the weather was perfect!

We enjoyed a family weekend in Clemson. I had a class Saturday morning so we got off to a late start. We had a Griswald tailgate for the Boston College game. Parker came. Jackson and Will played together. Jackson sat with Noni and Papa J. We made until halftime again. Brooks napped and was so sweet. We went back to the tailgate to feed Brooks and finish watching the game.

Then the boys enjoyed playing in the leaves.
