Behind

I am very behind in my blogging and pictures and laundry and keeping the house clean. One little baby loves to be held ALL the time ( I wouldn't have it any other way!) One three-year old is very sick (like 103.2 temperature sick). One almost five-year old is so excited about his birthday that he can't stand it ( his list is getting longer by the minute.)

Today this is what I have been doing- holding two sleeping boys. I have had a Diet Dr. Pepper and a few brownies all day because that is all I have had time for.

I have watched hours of Curious George and Kate and Mim Mim. I have washed my hands a million times. Poor Brooks is going to miss his last day of school tomorrow, and that makes me sad. He has loved school and his friends.

Tomorrow is Jackson's last day of preschool, and that makes me even more sad. That and him turning five in the same week have caused me to tear up more than once. I am so thankful that I am home during this time though. I don't think I could have dealt with the stress of school and all of these important moments at home.

Water Works

Water Works opened tonight with a cookout. After the last t-ball game, the boys wanted to go. Walker and I hung out while the big boys played. Both have gotten braver. Jackson even went down the frog slide. They had a great time. Jackson ate two hot dogs afterwards!

Preschool Program

Today the boys had their end of the year program. Because I was not rushing from school, I got to get them dressed and drop them off at their classes. Walker also went to his first program.

Brooks's class sang first. He mostly stood up there with his hands in his mouth making faces. It was cute, and he didn't cry!

Jackson's class sang a lot of songs, and I definitely cried during some of them. He has been in a class with some of these kids for the past few years, and they are so sweet.

Our attempt at getting pictures after the program.

We had Wendy's for lunch because that is the boys' Friday tradition. Noni usually gets it for them.

T-Ball

Jackson finished up his t-ball season with 2 final games. He was very excited that Walker came to both games. He got some great hits and went after the ball once or twice ( with reminders from his coach to pay attention and not play in the dirt). He was very excited to get his trophy and a new water bottle. He has loved t-ball, I am so glad he has had a great experience and wants to keep playing!

Walker's Weight Check

Walker had a weight check this morning. We were running late so I had to take all of the boys. Walker now weighs 7lbs 14 oz, so he has gained a lot of weight in the last week. The boys were really good until Dr. Hart walked in, and then Brooks was crazy! We all survived our first trip all together.

Preschool Parties

The boys had their parties at school today, and I am so glad I got to go. I wish I didn't have to make sacrifices throughout the year and miss all of these events.

I helped with a breakfast for the preschool teachers. Then Tim and I both got to go to their parties. Both boys pretty much ignored us though. Brooks and his class ate their snacks and played with stickers. Jackson's class jumped in the jumpy castle and then had a hot dog lunch. It was fun getting to see them with their friends. I always love when I get to pick them up from school.

They also had their last swimming lesson at the Y. Jackson has come a long way and will jump in without his belt. Brooks continues to be the class clown. I think his report card is just a glimpse of what the future holds.

Luvi and Tu Tu came for a visit. The boys were wild!

Kindergarten Orientation

Today was a big day! Walker went to Noni's for the first time with Brooks while we took Jackson to Kindergarten Orientation. I still can't believe it. Jackson was really nervous as we drove to Concord. He didn't really want to talk to me. We got there, took a picture, and went inside. He got his name tag nd headed down the hall. He walked right in the classroom. I was really proud of him! We met back up with him around 40 minutes later. He was really excited! We had to stop by the book fair, and he loved picking out books.

I stayed to do some work, and Tim took him home. I thinking teaching might be the only job where you still have to work when you are on maternity leave less than 2 weeks after having a baby!

I brought Brooks and Walker home with me. Jackson wanted to stay with Noni. She said he had been talking about kindergarten all morning. Brooks refused to take a nap. He would lie down, and then pop up. " Mommy, I wake up yet?" I would have to tell him " No, you haven't even been to sleep!"

After dinner, we took Walker on his first walk! The big boys were so excited!

Yes, that is a Santa bib in May- 3rd kid problems.
