Wrapping Up Summer

We have been swimming every chance we get this summer.  The boys love swimming with Parker at his other grandparents' house.  Jackson has come so far with his swimming. He swims underwater and jumps off the diving board.  I am so proud of him.

Brooks has tried to get in with out his Puddle Jumper, and it always ends in disaster.  The shallow end is above his head, and he always panics.  He has spent most of his time in a float or on the steps. (He will still slide down the slide from the top though.)

Clemson Fan Day 2016

The boys had a great time at Fan Day!  It was very crowded- a lot more people than usual.some got there at 5:30 am to get Watson's autograph. There were some storms that came through along with lightning warnings, and people still stood out there.

The lines were really long. The boys got some offensive players, got special teams, and got defensive backs.  The kicker and punter even held Walker for a picture.  Brooks decided to get his Koozieo signed which the players thought was hilarious. He was so proud of that Koozie. He was jumping and yelling.

All of the players were very polite and nice to the boys. The boys had a great time! Go Tigers!

We enjoyed pizza and some cookie cake for my birthday.

Sprinkler Fun

With the lack of rain, we have spent lots of time and money watering our grass.  The boys took full advantage of playing in the sprinkler.

FIrst Week

We all made it through the first week of school!  Jackson loves it!  He has made some new friends, and loves to hang out in my classroom.  He also really likes music and PE.  He has also taught Brooks some new songs.

Brooks also loves school. He misses Jackson though. They are not used to be being apart from each all day every day!

Walker has had a good week.  I try to give him lots of snuggles at night.

On Fridays, we do Family Fun Night.  Our plans for going to the water park got rained out, so we settled for Skin's hotdogs and a movie.  We also dressed Walker up in a new outfit that Jackson picked out for him

First Day for Brooks

It started out as a rough morning because Brooks was upset that Jackson and I were leaving him. He cried for about 30 minutes before calming down to get ready for school.

He was excited to see his friends. Plus Parker is in his class. He also one of his same teachers from last year.

Apparently, he is already being a class clown.

I am so glad he loves school!

My Birthday

I got to celebrate my birthday with the first day of school. I took my kids some Krispy Kreme donuts to celebrate.

We also went to Moe's and then had some cake. Noni and Papa Jerry came over for cake and presents  too.

First Day of Kindergarten

Night before kindergarten

Jackson had a great first day of Kindergarten! It was hard to wake him up, but special donuts for breakfast helped! He got ready quickly, and we took some pictures. Then I headed to school.

Tim brought Jackson and the whole family including Brooks in his pajamas to Concord. They got some pictures out front. Then Tim and I walked Jackson down to his room. He was a little nervous. The halls were packed with people. We walked him into his classroom, and his teacher showed him what to do. Then I headed back to my classroom.

I saw him at lunch, and he smiled and waved. He was tired after school but was excited to get some Hershey Kisses. He was also happy because they read Pete the Cat in the library.

I am so thankful he had such a great first day! I am also glad that I was so busy with my own class that I couldn't think about him going to Kindergarten. I got a little teary last night walking down the steps and seeing some of his tiny handprints. I may or may not have cried a little looking at all of the pictures from today.
