Update on Jackson and Preschool

Jackson had a great week at school! It has taken almost 6 weeks, but he is not crying as much now. We have had to bribe him with food, getting a soccer ball, going to the Iveys' soccer game, picking out a pumpkin, etc. It is working though. He is getting good reports.

He talks about some of his friends, sings some songs, and talks about the playground. He is very excited about his crafts. He says "I made that!"  During September, he learned about circles and blue and red. He already knows his colors, but he does not know all of the shapes. He is singing "Baby Bumblebee" complete with hand motions and facial expressions. I hope he lets me video it.

Clemson Homecoming

We enjoyed the beautiful fall weather for Clemson Homecoming. This is one of my most favorite Clemson traditions! They boys enjoyed the "floats" on Bowman Field. It was really crowded and hard to get pictures though. Jackson ate a good lunch and enjoyed playing football with Jay and Hayden. Brooks took a short nap, but Jackson did not.

Jackson gets to ride in the stroller, and Brooks is in the carrier. Jackson decided he wanted to sit with Noni and Papa J. Tim and I just had Brooks and made it all the way to halftime! We enjoyed getting to actually watch a game. Brooks was good. He watched everything. Then he ate and took a nap.  Apparently Jackson was pretty good. He and Noni ended up playing cars and watching the game on TV. We left during halftime.we decided not to press our luck!!!! Brooks had fun at his first Homecoming!

Where did September go?

Slack. Tired. Busy. Tired. Those words pretty much sum up why. I have not been blogging. I have been choosing to do other things. My day starts between 4:45 and 5:30. I am going nonstop until 7:30-8:00. When I finally sit down, I am DONE! I just can't do anything else. Even as I type this, I am dozing. I am asleep before my head hits the pillow. My goal is to get caught up this weekend but not tonight!

Sesame Street Live

We had a Jackson day today. We enjoyed pizza and gelato at Your Pie. Then we made a quick trip to Toys-R-Us. Jackson loves that place. He has loved going to the Ivey's soccer games, so he got a soccer ball. Then we went to Sesame Street Live. Jackson liked it, but he liked climbing the stairs more. We got some cotton candy, but I ate more than he did!  It was the same show we saw last year. He didn't ask for any of the toys or the balloons. We enjoyed our Jackson day, and thankfully Brooks could stay with Noni and Papa J.

Charleston

We took a quick trip to Charleston, and it was a much needed mini trip! We headed down early Friday and went straight to the College of Charleston so I could take care of a name issue.

Tim moved the car while Mom and I walked the boys all the way to Fleet Street. It was a LONG walk pushing the Big Orange. Charleston sidewalks are not made for a double stroller. We did see a police car and some fire trucks so Jackson was happy. It was hot though, and I was dripping sweat. We quickly walked through the Market and then enjoyed our lunch.

We met Mardie, Laurel, and Brynlee at the Aquarium. Jackson had fun despite a few fits. Brooks was perfect. Jackson had a great time playing with Brynlee. Mardie fixed Lowcountry Boil, and it was delicious.

On Saturday, we headed downtown.we went to the market, ate ice cream, and then went to Waterfront Park.  Brynlee and Jackson loved playing in the fountain. Brynlee was soaked and so was Mardie. The kids enjoyed swinging too.  We headed home after that. I ,ove that Jackson and Brynlee like playing with each other. Brynlee loved Brooks and wanted to hold him. All three little ones were crying when we left. Bryn wanted Brooks to stay, and Jackson did not want to leave. He kept saying, "I go back there."
