My Silly Boys

We have had a busy week and enjoyed a much needed Saturday at home! This is actually our last free weekend until after Jackson's birthday party in June.  Crazy!

Brooks is busy trying to walk.  He loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider right now and always claps for me when I finish. He also loves to dance and wave. I love that he still wants to cuddle. Brooks loves to play in the kitchen.  He will stand there for 10-20 minutes just playing! He gets into everything. He pulls out all of the toys!

Jackson is the comedian!  The other night he ate some strawberries and asked for more.  I cut up more and brought them to him.  He said, "Mommy, will you please cut off the sprinkles?" He wanted me to cut off the seeds! Tim has been busy painting Jackson's room.  Jackson really wanted blue, but we settled on a gray that has blue in it.  Jackson loves it.  He says, "I love my new room!  It is pretty!"  He had a great week at school. I am so glad he loves it! He is so sweet when he tells us thank you.

We have also joined everyone else and watched Frozen. Both boys love it!

We are busy cleaning up and cleaning out our house.  It is time to get rid of stuff.

Jackson also did his first school project.  He is so proud of it!  He did not understand that he had to take it to school.

Jackson's First Race

Brent's track team was hosting a fun run and 5k.  I signed Jackson and I up for the fun run.  It was a little chilly, and someone wanted no part of it!

Clemson and the NIT

On Tuesday we all headed to Clemson for the NIT game. The doors opened at 5:30, and my dad was there to get us seats.  We took Noni to McAlister's for Jackson's favorite grilled cheese and of course a chocolate chip cookie!

My dad got great mid-court seats near the floor. It was perfect.  Both boys were great!  After they finished spelling CLEMSON, Jackson said, "They are spelling my name!" He recognized the S-O-N!  It was so cute.  Brooks loved the cheerleaders and Rally Cats. He just watched them and danced! He also waved and smiled at everyone!

It was a great game that ended with a great win! We had so much fun!  Thanks Papa J for saving us seats!

The Boys

Both boys are getting so big. Brooks cruises along all furniture. He loves music and dances when he hears it. He loves to play with Jackson's toys! He also loves to pull out everything. He is currently playing with a bag of diapers. He loves table food and has been walking with his push toy. He goes so fast! He has been doing great in the crib! He can't stand for Jackson to be asleep. He has to wake him up!

Jackson is a little comedian. He says the funniest things. He called me a lady on the way home one night. When we were talking about what to get Parker for his birthday,he said, " Let's get him a baby. Let's give him Brooksie!" He is always calling Brooks Molly from Toy Story. We went to Pizza Buffet the other night, and he ate 4pieces of cheese and 3 of chocolate chip. He definitely has an appetite now!

We made pizza one night.  Jackson loved making it, but he kept asking for cheese pizza. Then he wanted to know where the breadsticks and chocolate chip pizza were.  That is our typical order from Guy's!

Beautiful Weather

We have had some beautiful weather this past week. We have gotten to play outside and go for some walks. It has been much needed as we have been making some changes with our finances. We have cut cable and changed our cell phone plans. I am cleaning out more stuff for consignment sales. Tim and ino longer buy each other presents for birthdays or holidays.  After much thought, we have decided to keep our YMCA membership. Since we are not going on a vacation this year, we will still be able to take the boys to the water park. Plus it is a great stress relief. I have been getting up early and going before school.  We are really trying to cut anything that is not necessary. Of course we still have lots of medical expenses and house expenses. I hate throwing away money on this house more than anything.

I had class today, so Tim had the boys. He took a few days off this week to paint Jackson's room. We've had three different colors on the wall for over a year, so it was past time!

After I got home today, we went to Greenville. When we were in the car, Jackson said, "Hey Mommy. I like you." It was so sweet. We went to Costco and the airplane park - two of the boys' favorite places. It was nice to play outside! The next week is supposed to be colder, so we will not get as much outside time. We are definitely ready for Spring to stick around!

Way Behind!

The month of March has been crazy, and I am way behind! Poor Brooks was sick all last week! He ran a fever for more than 48 hours and just wanted to sleep and be held. I stayed home with him Wednesday, and we spent all day cuddling on the couch. He was so pitiful. He finally started feeling better on Sunday.

Jackson had a rough week at school and had to go to Time Out and got in trouble for kicking a door and throwing mulch.

We celebrated Tim's birthday with a cake from Marble Slab, a trip to the doctor ( Brooks), and dinner at Moe's.

We also celebrated Parker's first birthday this past Saturday. Poor Brooks slept through the whole thing. Jackson had fun playing with Grayson and Will. I was so surprised at how well he played with Grayson. Parker had a precious first birthday!

We also enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day parade complete witha beaver. Jackson loved it.

What a weekend!

When it rains, it pours! Our upstairs HVAC unit needs to be replaced. We just replaced the last one 4 years ago. That means more than 11,000 just for those two systems. This adds no value to our house. That means we are another giant step behind in getting rid of this house! We have to be out of this house in two years so we can register Jackson for kindergarten!

I spent Saturday in class. We went to the Zoo Sunday afternoon since the weather was beautiful. Brooks really enjoyed it. We also went to the park at the airport and to Costco!

Papa J 's Birthday

We watched the Ivey children play basketball this morning. Then we went to visit the Oscar MayerWiener  Mobile. Jackson loved it and didn't want to leave.

We celebrated my dad's birthday at Smoke on the Water in Greenville. The boys were very well behaved and loved the food. We walked a little downtown before heading home for cake and presents. Brooks loved the cake and getting messy. We had a great evening celebrating Papa J's birthday.  Jackson has turned into little Papa J !
