A Beautiful Day

Today was another beautiful day in South Carolina.  We spent more time outside and Jackson got to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa. He is so funny on Skype and likes to show off for them.  He is excited they are coming to visit in June.

Today would have been my grandmother, Nannie's, birthday.  Jackson and I were walking around outside, and I was telling him about her. I was telling him how she would have loved him, because she loved little kids.  He got the biggest smile on his face!  I wish he could have met her.  She was a wonderful person and loved all of her children and grandchildren unconditionally. I loved to drink coffee at her house.  We always loved spending time at her house.

Bunny Pictures

Today we headed to Greenville to have Jackson's picture taken with a real bunny. Of course he did not nap during the morning, so he was in a mood. I hope she still got some cute pictures. I love the Rock Quarry Garden in the spring! Jackson liked the bunny and wanted to grab it.  I was holding the bunny, and she jumped.  That kind of spooked him.  The photographer put him in the grass, and he was so funny.  I guess he has never sat in grass before.  He tried to hold his left leg up, so it wouldn't touch the grass. It was so funny. I can't wait to see the pictures.

1 week until Spring Break!

Sunny Saturday

It was a beautiful Saturday.  We slept late today-7:00! Then we met my mom at Mama Penn's for breakfast. Jackson loved his pancakes and grits.  Then we ran some errands and went home to play.

Jackson has been saying "Maaaaaa" for awhile, especially when he is mad or upset.  He said "Ma Ma" for the first time today, and he wasn't mad or upset! Of course, he didn't say it again, but it was still so sweet!

Jackson went to stay with Noni while Tim and I went to see The Hunger Games.  I read all of the books, and Tim, being a good sport, took me to the movie.

We came home and went on our nightly walk, and then played some more. Jackson is getting really close to crawling.  He still scoots on his bottom to get everything he wants. He will also take a few steps if you hold his hands.  He is getting so big.  He is almost 10 months old!  I can't believe it!

Saturday and St. Patrick's Day

We had a fun Saturday last weekend.  We started out with a trip to Mary Beth's where Jackson ate more pancakes and grits.  He loves breakfast food just like his momma and daddy!  We went to Buy Buy Baby for some food. Jackson loves to ride in the cart there and look around at everything.  He is so nosy. Since it was such a beautiful day, we headed to the Greenville Zoo.  We have a yearly pass, so we went for the first time with the pass. It is really nice, because we don't feel like we have to spend hours there.  We walked through everything in about 45 minutes.  We had a nice walk and enjoyed the animals. We picked up barbecue for dinner and headed home.

Then we met the Watsons for fries and milkshakes at Burger King.  After that, we went to look at a house.  We eventually want to move, so we are starting to look at what is available and prices. We didn't expect to like this house as much as did.  It was huge-there was so much space! There were some odd things about it, but I think I could live with it.  Of course, this isn't the best timing, and the price is a little high. We have so much space, and everything would have a spot!

Living for the Weekend

We really do live for the weekend.  Yes, that is really sad, but Saturday and Sunday are our favorite days. We get to spend them together as a family (Yes, that is cheesy, but the truth.).

I took Jackson to therapy last week, and he seems to be doing well with the Tot collar. His tilt was measuring 0-5 degrees.  It was between 7-10 degrees.  The overall goal is 0-2 degrees, so we are on the right track! He is now wearing it for an hour at a time.

Tim's Birthday

Tim celebrated his birthday on Saturday, March 10.  We started out his birthday weekend with dinner at Moe's. Then on Saturday morning, we headed up to William's Hardware in Traveler's Rest.  It was Jackson's first time there!  We ordered our pancakes and French toast with eggs, bacon, and grits. Jackson LOVED the pancakes. He also loved the grits.  That might be our new favorite spot!  We ran a couple of errands and then headed downtown. It was a gorgeous day, so we walked in Fall's Park and got ice cream at Spill the Beans. We came back home, and Tim grilled.  Then we had birthday cake and opened presents.  Tim had a strawberry cake from The Sweetery.  It was yummy, and Jackson loved the cream cheese icing. (He doesn't turn down food though.) Jackson got Tim a frame with pictures.  We also got him a gift card.

On Sunday, we celebrated at my parent's house with lasagna and more strawberry cake.

I think that Tim had a great birthday!
