35 Weeks, Almost 36

I am almost 36 weeks, and I went to the doctor on Friday.  Yep, Jackson is in no hurry to get here.  Dr. Hearn said that I should easily make it to the end of school. I am measuring right on schedule, and Jackson is doing great. The good news is that I go to the doctor every week now.  That means we are getting close!  The nursery is almost finished.  We just have to hang the letters above the crib. I will post finished pictures this weekend!

My sweet husband got me a Nook for my "Baby Mama" gift, so I am excited to get to play with that.  It is the perfect gift!  I have been wanting one for a long time!  Any book suggestions?

Griswald Shower

We had a great Griswald shower at Lisa and David's lake house today!  The house is beautiful.  I can't wait to go back when I can enjoy the boat and jet skis.  They threw us a great shower, and we got lots of great gifts.  Of course, they did too much again!  Here are few pictures of Tim opening presents.  More pictures to come soon!

Design with Wine

Last week I went with Mom, Whitney, and some other teachers to Design with Wine.  Here you paint a picture while drinking the beverage of your choice.  (Mine was Zaxby's tea!)  You follow along with an artist and wind up with a pretty decent painting.  I am not artistic at all.  My students make fun of me.  It is definitely something I would like to try again when I am at least 30 pounds lighter!

Strawberry Pickin'

Tim and I went strawberry picking at the Hardy Berry Farm last week.  They were almost out of them already!  I love going to pick strawberries and have loved it since my dad took me when I was little!  Of course, picking strawberries is more difficult 8 months pregnant!

Top 10 Things I Am Looking Forward to about NOT Being Pregnant!

I am two days away from being 35 weeks pregnant.  I have been very blessed to have had such a normal pregnancy (knock on wood).  However, I am starting to get uncomfortable, impatient, and tired.  I pray everyday that Jackson will be born healthy and when he is ready.  However, I am ready!

#10. I can't wait until I can see my feet again!
#9. I can't wait for my feet to be a normal size again.  They are huge along with my ankles.  Who am I kidding? I don't have ankles anymore; I definitely have cankles.  I know, so attractive!
#8. I want to be able to sleep without having to get up to pee.  ( I know that I will instead wake up to a crying baby, but at this point, it seems much better!
#7. I can't wait to sleep on my stomach. ( I know that people who are reading this are laughing and thinking "What sleep?")  I am just so tired to sleeping on my side!  I would settle for sleeping on my back!
#6. I am totally over the heartburn!  Done with it!
#5. I am tired of wearing maternity clothes.  I am so thankful for everyone who let me borrow clothes.  I don't what I would have done without those clothes.  I am over them now.
#4. I can't wait to start running/ exercising again!  We have had perfect running weather.
#3. I can't wait to NOT be HOT all the time!
#2. I am tired of the back pain!
#1. I CAN'T WAIT TO HOLD JACKSON IN MY ARMS!  It seems like this pregnancy has gone by pretty fast, but the last couple of weeks have dragged.  I am so ready for him to be here.  I can't wait to rock him and dress him in all of his cute little clothes!

There are some things that I will miss.  I definitely will not be able to eat all of the cupcakes and ice cream that I have been eating.  I will also miss Jackson moving and kicking (even kicking me in the ribs!). Tim has been wonderful!  He has not complained about rubbing my back or feet.  He has not complained about doing extra chores around the house. (I really can't bend over to get clothes out of the dryer anymore!)  I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband.  He is going to be the best dad!

Tim and I are so excited about Jackson getting here. We can't wait for him to meet his wonderful grandparents.  He is so lucky to have two sets of wonderful grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and the best cousins!

Mother's Day 2011

Brent, Mom, and Me at Brent and Whitney's House

Card from Jackson

Yummy cupcake!

I love this!
Even though Jackson is not technically here yet, I enjoyed a great Mother's Day.  Brent and Whitney fixed a wonderful dinner at their house. Tim bought me a beautiful topiary flower arrangement and a key lime cupcake from Chocolate Moose (the new cupcake store in Greenville).  My mom and I are going with Whitney on Thursday to Design with Wine to paint a picture. We also spent a nice Saturday in Greenville at the Farmer's Market, ate lunch with my mom and aunts, and went to visit my cousins.  It was a wonderful weekend!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother who has always put my brother and I first. She didn't get upset if we made a mess, and she has always supported us and wanted us to have the best. My mom is brave and always willing to help anyone out.  I am so lucky to have such a great mother.  I hope that I can be that kind of mom to Jackson!

New Rail

Here is a picture of our new stair rail!  We absolutely love it.  Gray did a great job!

Easter

Tim and I made a bunny cupcake cake.

I am catching up on some entries.  We had a great Easter. On Saturday, we took the kids to Egg Drop at Flour Field. It was crazy!  There were tons of people there!  On Sunday we had a wonderful Easter lunch with my family.  Sydney and TJ were the only ones there to hunt eggs.  Jackson will join them next year!

They are counting their eggs.

34 Weeks

It has been a long time since I posted!  This will be a short post too. Things are crazy around here!  At home, we have put up a stair rail, are getting some trees trimmed, and Tim finished the piece of furniture. School is getting stressful with all the end of the year stuff and testing. School is always stressful at the end of the year, but it is worse now!  Baby Jackson is getting bigger, and I now constantly have a foot or hand in my ribs. I don't get much sleep. We are very blessed to have such wonderful family members and friends.  We have just about everything for Jackson.  Hopefully, I will have time to post pictures this weekend!
