Noni's Birthday

We celebrated Noni's birthday today. Jackson wore his dinosaur birthday outfit for the occasion. We are so blessed that Noni keeps Jackson for us, and that he does not have to go to daycare. It is hard enough for me to leave him everyday, but I could not leave him at a daycare!  We hope that Noni had a wonderful birthday!  We love her so much and are so grateful for everything that she has done for us!

On a mission to find a Christmas Tree

On Saturday, we went looking for our Christmas Tree with Noni and Papa J.  We went to a couple of places before we found one at the produce market up the street. Jackson enjoyed looking at the trees and swinging on the swing.  We got home and put it up. Jackson and I took a long nap while Tim put up some decorations. Then we all decorated the tree.

Happy Black Friday

So we didn't head out too early to go shopping, but we had to go at some point.  We made it to Belk by 9:00.  Then we picked up my mom and headed to Greenville. We stopped by to get my camera (I left it at Cookie's), and then we went to the Carter's Store where I had to buy Jackson some clothes. He has outgrown everything!!!! None of his pants fit.  We also went to Lowe's, and Santa happened to be there!  We have now seen Santa two weekends in a row. Jackson sat with him for awhile before he got upset. Then we went to Target, and they still had some of the stuff I had wanted.  Of course, I was not going for electronics. We met my dad for lunch at Frodo's, and then we headed downtown. It was a gorgeous day, and it was absolutely packed! We enjoyed getting cupcakes and walking to see the new skating rink and Santa sleigh.  Of course, the Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks made it even better!

Santa was at Lowe's!

Eating at Frodo's!

It's cold outside!

Jackson was so good today.  He loves to be on the go and people watch.  He also loves to be at home too though.  He likes to stretch out and play with his toys.  I decided to clean his closet and pack up all of the clothes that don't fit anymore.  Somehow I filled 3 containers!!!! Maybe Baby Brown will be a boy, and we can share some of these clothes! I actually handled packing these things very well.  I cried the last time when I packed all of his newborn stuff!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jackson and Noni made a craft!

We especially have a lot to be thankful for this year. Here is just a short list:
  • Jackson
  • Our families and friends
  • We have a great house!
  • Jobs
  • Food and Clothes
  • Everything that we need

We had a great Thanksgiving.  We started off the morning with Jackson sleeping until 8:00. Shopping did him in yesterday!  We ate breakfast casserole and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  I was even good and went for a run.  We finally got dressed and Skyped with Tim's family. We wish we got to see them more!

Then we headed to Greenville to eat dinner. Sydney led the blessing and surprised everyone with the news that her mom is having a baby!  Ashlyn is due June 16 (Jackson was due June 14).  We are excited to have another baby in the family. I love that Jackson is going to have some little cousins to play with!  We ate too much and enjoyed being with the Griswalds.  We headed home around 8:30 and decided to ride by all the stores on the way just for fun!  Wow!  It was too crowded for me!  There is nothing that I want bad enough to wait in those lines!

Playing with Daddy!

On our way to Jackson's first Thanksgiving!

Auntie Ga Ga

Last night as we were putting Jackson to bed, he was especially fussy.  Tim figured it out.  He had a blue paci, but he really wanted a green one.  Tim gave him a green one, and he went right to sleep.  Wonder if Jackson is going to be picky like his moma?

What happened to November?

It seems like all of my posts start the same way, but what happened to November? Even though the month has gone by fast, last week was forever.  It was American Education Week at school, we had a field trip and Invention Convention, Tim had to work late 2 nights, and I had First Flight one night. I was exhausted!

On Saturday we went to a baby shower for a friend from high school.  Her mom is also a friend of my mom's.  Jackson wore his cute turkey outfit.

We went to church on Sunday, and Jackson made his first craft at church.

Thankfully Monday and Tuesday went by fast (even with bus duty). I made it through Week 4 of First Flight.  Two more runs to go this week. On Wednesday, we went to therapy early, and Tim got to go with us. We still have to work on rolling over and getting him to hold his up. Jackson is not interested in rolling. He could care less. Next we picked up my mom and headed to Greenville to do a little shopping. Surprisingly, traffic was not that bad, and we got what we needed. Jackson was so good.  He did not like riding in the stroller though, so one of us had to be holding him.  It is hard carrying around 20 pounds!

I am a Tiger Cub member!

I love to take a bath!

I am a new Belk employee!  I am going to work with TuTu.

Jackson and Santa

It is hard to believe that Jackson is 24 weeks old.  He is getting so big.  I am amazed at everything he can do now!

We went to a baby shower Saturday morning, and he did really well.  We got to stay for over an hour before he started to get bored.  He was really good considering he didn't recognize any faces.

Then we headed to Junior League Holiday Market for Jackson to meet Santa and get pictures made.  It was only $5, and the pictures turned out precious!

I don't know why the pictures won't flip the right way.  Strange!

We went to Greenville to do some shopping.  Jackson loves to go to Buy Buy Baby and look at all of the toys.  He is getting so opinionated.  He knows what toys he likes and what toys that he doesn't. Jackson also racked up at the Carter's store.  We went to Old Navy next since they had their coats 75% off.  The lines were like Black Friday!  It was crazy, but I did get a cute orange coat. I have decided that I am not going out shopping on Friday unless there are too many deals to pass up!

We ate a late lunch at Frodo's and then took Jackson to Krispy Kreme for some "hot and now" donuts.  Unfortunately, the Tigers gave us nothing to celebrate!

Crazy Week

Wow!  It has been a crazy week, and I so far behind on my blogging!  We did end up going to the Clemson game on Saturday.  We got there for the 4th quarter and watched it on TV.  Then we celebrated with burgers and chicken. The weather could not have been any better!

On Sunday, we celebrated another Griswald with Laurel's shower.  Jackson decided that he does not like strangers!  He screamed for about 30 minutes until he finally fell asleep.  He did not like people he didn't know getting in his face!

We have had unseasonably warm weather (the 70s), so Jackson went running with me on Monday.  I run every Tuesday night with First Flight, and then I have to do 2 more runs on my own. Since our weekend was crazy, I procrastinated until Monday.  He fell asleep though and enjoyed being outside.

I had a doctor's appointment today during his therapy time, so my mom took him.  Of course, we had some crazy weather so they ended up in the hallway during the tornado warning.  Crazy!  We are still working on rolling over!

Meanwhile, Jackson has grown so much in the last week.  He can now sit up!!!! He was just doing it for 20-30 seconds, but now he can sit for a long time.  Of course, we still sit behind him in case he falls.  He is so proud of himself too!  I can't believe how fast he is changing.  He has also started eating oatmeal.  He likes it just as much as the rice cereal.  He does not like any of his food watery, he wants it thick.  He is going to be a good eater, because he cries when it's all gone!

Yummy oatmeal!

I can sit up!  I am such a big boy!

He is so proud of himself!
