Museum Day and Market Day and Baseball Game

Yesterday we went to the Upcountry History Museum for their Storyland exhibit.  It was really cute.  Brooks loved Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Jackson liked The Snowy Day.

Then we went to the Children's Museum.  It was Walker's first trip. He slept through some of it, but was wide awake too!  We had lunch at Frodo's-another first for Walker.

Today we went to the Downtown Market and took Noni with us.  The boys went to story time and got their free cupcake.  We all ate cinnamon rolls before leaving.  Then we went to visit TuTu.  She is at Kristi's trying to recover from her broken knee.  The boys love going over there because they are always spoiled rotten!

On Sunday we went to the Drive game with church.  It was fun sitting with several families with small kids.  I love getting to have some girl talk with the little girls.  The boys ate hot dogs and popcorn, and ice cream.

They loved running the bases with Jake.

Walker is 11 Weeks; Last Day of Summer Fun

Walker is now 11 weeks old!

  • The Zantac seems to be helping the reflux, and he is happier.
  • He is sleeping 6-7 hours at night.
  • When he wakes up for his first feeding, he is so happy and smiles and talks.
  • After his first bottle, he goes back to sleep until his next feeding.
  • He stays awake a lot in the morning with a short catnap.
  • He eats his lunch bottle and sleeps most of the afternoon.
  • Then he is awake late afternoon through dinner.
  • He is usually sleepy again around 8. His last bottle is between 10 and 11.
  • He loves to sit up. He tries to sit up when he is laying down
  • He loves to watch his brothers.
  • He also loves to Patty Cake and sing One Little Walker.

The boys finished up Summer Fun today. They have had so much fun playing with their friends, and they have loved all of the activities. Jackson loved pajama day and water day. I am so thankful they have something fun to do in the summer. They love playing with each other, but everyone needs a break! We have one full week left of summer vacation, and we are going to enjoy it!

Weekend Adventure

We have had a wonderful weekend (despite the dead battery and the Friday night visit from the plumber).

On Friday we went swimming with Parker. The boys had a great time and took long naps. That night Tim, Walker, and I went out with the Watson's. The boys had their first babysitter, and I think they had a great time. We are very spoiled that my parents usually watch the boys. Tim and I rarely go out,so the boys have always stayed with family. Everything went well, and they all had fun.

On Saturday we started our day at the Saturday Market in Greenville. I needed my peach salsa, and the boys needed cinnamon rolls.

Then we drove another hour or so up to Montreat, NC. There is a Presbyterian conference center and college there. It is beautiful up there and about 10 degrees cooler. The boys had the best time at the playground and playing in the creek. Jackson was all about being in that water and playing in the rocks. Brooks didn't like it as much- too cold for him.  Jackson really wanted to go on the paddle boats, but it was drizzling. We explored most of the day, ate lunch, and then got cupcakes in Black Mountain.

Walker was pretty good, but it helped that I sat in the back. We enjoyed our day together! The boys loved going on their "adventure."

Walker is 10 Weeks and 2 Month Check-Up

Walker is 10 weeks old!  He is getting to be such a big boy! He is holding his head up really well. He is also smiling and cooing. He still loves to be held. He also loves the swing and his play mat! He has also started sleeping for about 6 hours at night!

We took him for his 2 month appointment yesterday. He was so good! He was awake the whole time. Dr. Hart was impressed with how well he holds up his head. He jokingly said it was Walker's defensive strategy against the big boys. He's probably right! We are starting him on some reflux medicine to see if that helps with the fussiness.

Weight: 13lbs 1oz ( 58th percentile)
Length: 22 1/4 inches ( 9th percentile)
Head: 39.6 cm ( 53rd percentile)

We are so thankful for our happy (most of the time) and healthy baby!

Soaking Up Summer

We have been soaking up the last weeks of summer. We have enjoyed lazy days, going to the pool and water park, and spending time with friends. The easy days of July are almost over, and the craziness of August is just around the corner. I am loving that our calendar is pretty empty this week. We have something every single day in August.

The boys are still loving Summer Fun. Brooks had water day last week and loved it. Jackson has it this week.  It is so great that they get a break from each other and get to spend time with their friends. The Watson girls came to play with the boys one day. They kept them upstairs while I got some things done downstairs.

We also went to the water park with Parker and the Ivey kids. The boys had so much fun. Jackson is doing awesome with his swimming. I am so proud of how far he has come!

We have also spent our nights taking walks. The boys love it even if there are some arguments! Walker also made his trip to Your Pie and walking around the Clemson campus.
