Happy 4th!

The day started out rainy, but we headed to the downtown market in Greenvile for peach salsa and cinnamon rolls. It started to rain so we went to the museum for awhile. Then we went to TR for lunch at the Whistle Stop Restaurant.  It is a cute place with train decor.  The boys loved it!  We stopped by Furman on the way home to walk around the lake.  The boys loved looking at the ducks and the turtles. We walked to the Rose Garden and Brooks had an unfortunate accident with the fountain.  He hit is head right above his eye.  That cut our trip around the lake short.  He seemed fine by the time we got home.

We invited my parents over for a cookout. We even pulled out sparklers from several years ago!

We ate dinner with my parents last night and tried to watch the Newspring fireworks from the top of the hill in their neighborhood.  All of a sudden it started pouring rain, and we had to run back to their house.  Carrying Brooks and running in flip flops down a hill make for some slow running.  We were soaked!  Brooks was mad and did not want to go in the house.  We did finish watching the fireworks from the car.  Brooks loves them, and Jackson like them now too.
