Litchfield 2014

We had a great time at the beach. Both boys loved it! I am so thankful they get to experience a family beach trip and hang out with aunts, uncles, and cousins. It makes for a fun week full of babysitters.

Jackson tolerated it last year, but he loved the water, jumping waves, and playing in the sand with his tractor and cars at the "struction site." I think his favorite was eating his snacks. He would eat his cookies, "earios," and "pri sun."

Brooks was a wild man. He ended up being a sandy mess everyday! He loved the water and the sand. He didn't care if the waves knocked him over. He didn't care if he got splashed in the face. He didn't care if he had sand everywhere! He is definitely a beach baby! He loved his snacks with some sand on the side. If he dropped a Goldfish, he'd pick it up and eat it sand and all.

Most days we spent several hours on the beach. Brooks enjoyed his beach naps. It did rain a little, was really hot, but the weather cooled down. The water is nice and warm.

We couldn't get into our condo until Sunday, so we crammed a lot of people into "Lovie's beach house." It was wall to wall people! Jackson and Brooks had fun playing with Brynlee. It was funny that they loved being together at the house but basically ignored each other on the beach.

We enjoyed the beach, cards, seafood including crabs, some shopping, and eating! Jackson has a new favorite store-Eagles. It is just a junky beach store, but they also carry toy cars. As soon as we walk in, he has an armful of cars. We also went to the shark beach store. Brooks loved the real sharks!

We went to the Hammock Shops and got our yearly fudge! We also went to the Fish House. Jackson loves the Mater truck outside. Both boys loved the playground! The boys played 31 and loved
playing cars. They even enjoyed some fireworks or "Popsicles" as Jackson called them. The highlight may have been the broken water line in front of the house. The excavator had to come out two days in a row to dig up the road.

The boys did not want to leave. It was raining, so that made it easier. Jackson did not understand why he had to leave "his" beach house.&y

I feel so blessed that my boys are able to spend this time with family and get to enjoy the same thingsI did growing up. My favorite memories are from beach trips with my family.
